MOVIE MAGIC AT READLAND! 🍿🎬

Our Christmas holiday kicked off with Readland Fun Day with the US Consulate, featuring an enchanting movie showcase 'Kizazi Moto' by Disney and Kugali Studios. 🌟✨

The atmosphere was filled with joy, and the magic of the film left everyone in awe.

😍🎄Laughter, smiles, and pure enjoyment - that's what the holidays are all about!
We know all learn and no play makes 🥳😁...

Thank you Shofela Coker the director of the first short film by Disney Plus Animated series 'MOREMI' for entertaining and inspiring the children to be the next big thing in the animation world.

Inspired by Africa’s diverse histories and cultures, Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire is an animated anthology that brings together a new wave of animation stars. This showcase took us on a ride into Africa’s future.

In summary, Kizazi Moto derives from the Swahili phrase ‘kizazi cha moto’ which translates as ‘fire generation’, capturing the passion, innovation, and excitement this new cohort of African filmmakers is ready to bring to the world,” said Nyeke, supervising producer, Triggerfish.

A huge thank you to the for making this magical moment possible.

Let the festivities continue! 🎉

How exciting it would be to have a library in a plane.

Part of a plane was delivered to a primary school in South Gloucestershire, which will be turned into a new library.

Imagine the places children will go reading on a plane.

Would you read here? 🤔

TECH ADVENTURE WITH DAVID OGUNSHOLA

With the rise of technology, we have the opportunity to change how children learn.

Allowing them to learn at their own pace, using play as a vehicle for learning, and developing a curious mind. This is what the child of today needs to be prepared for the economy and work of tomorrow. There is a need for us to review methodology, pedagogy, and the use of technology in our education system.

At Readland, we believe in nurturing curiosity and creativity in children through reading, learning and gaming. Learning and Games are a core element of STEAM. We do this through some of our projects which include;
Readland Coding Masterclass
Readland Coding Projects
Readland App Inventor and Python Projects

7 REASONS WHY YOUR CHILD SHOULD JOIN THE MINECRAFT CLUB THIS HOLIDAY

READLANDERS WERE PRESENT AT THE FARM CRAFT EDUCATION GAMES INAUGURATION

🎯1. Creativity
Minecraft is essentially a massive blank canvas for your creativity. You can explore massive interconnected caves, take on insane challenges, and create mind-bending architectural accomplishments. Seriously, anything is possible.

🎯2. It Educates on Resource Management
When children become completely immersed in Minecraft, they begin to calculate the costs of their resources. Wood, for example, can be obtained by hand, but an axe is more efficient. All of these tools, however, will eventually wear out, necessitating the use of even more resources. As they attempt to create the thousands of recipes used in this game, your child will soon be weighing the economics of labour and resources.

🎯3. It prepares them for future careers in STEM like engineering, mathematics
Structures built in Minecraft, no matter how they look, teach fundamental lessons in architecture, engineering, and geometry.

🎯4. Readiness
Because you start with nothing in Minecraft, you must plan to build toward something larger. Minecraft players must carefully set goals, follow tutorials, collect and manage resources, and craft tools, and build step by step.

🎯5. Self-assurance
Minecraft throws you into the wilderness with no instructions and then leaves you to your own devices to explore. There are dangers and difficulties, but there is also a strong sense of freedom and experimentation. Kids (and adults) can make mistakes, learn from them, and grow as a result of them.

🎯6. Problem-solving
To begin building in Minecraft, you must overcome a variety of environmental challenges, such as gathering resources, figuring out how to craft tools, gathering food, and constructing a night-time shelter from enemies. According to research, video gameplay may be responsible for measurable problem-solving and memory improvements.

🎯7. Concentration
Realizing your high goals in Minecraft requires dedication and focus. The larger the build, the longer you must persevere and work step by step. Some tasks can take hours or even days to complete.
