Dear Parents,
Could you kindly explain in the simplest form what you mean when you say a teacher is picking on your child?
Teachers are open-minded people who are willing to listen and learn.

School Hunters
As your search for a better place of (academic) excellence for your kid(s) draws closer, I hope you find the best place.
Just in case you are having a hard time doing that, please do a thorough need analysis.
ππππππ
Is my child struggling academically? Then, I must enroll him in a school that prioritizes academics.
Is my child struggling with socialization? Then I'll enroll him in a school that has appropriate extracurricular activities.
Is my child not measuring up in either of the needs above? Then I'm definitely enrolling him in a school that caters for the total need of my child.
Remember, ambience, paparazzi and class do not guarantee academic excellence.
Good luck with your search.
School HUNTERS
Let me remind you that Nicole's educational needs aren't same as Margret's!!!!
Stop putting your child in a school solely because your friend's children are doing well in that school.
Ask the school their:
πplans,
πpurpose
πapproaches to learning
Ask questions before you entrust your child's educational journey to the hands of any educationist.

Personal Branding 102
My son decided to ask me to change his school yesterday and I was keen on the discussion.
'Ok son, I'll sure change your school on only two conditions' I sincerely promised.
'Can you tell me the condisiiion' he asked.
'First, you must be prompt in doing your assignments and second, you must be able to talk about yourself.' I subtly notified him.
'Mummy, I do my homework before Ebube now,' he said (this isn't totally true but I had to agree with him since I have seen some improvements).
'So, I want to talk about myself... My name is Maximilian Kelechi. I'm 4 years old. My brother's name is Ebube, my daddy's name is Kelechi and my mummy's name is Martha...'
I had to cut the bio short while telling him that it's his bio and not his family's.
'Son, after your name, talk about your education, awards, your likes, dislikes, your goals, aspirations and how you hope to achieve them' I coached him.
'Ok, mummy, tell me about yourself so that I will say my own'
It was at this point, I realized how difficult it's to give my profile without unnecessary details.
Being able to talk about yourself is part of personal branding. It means you have been able to set goals, monitor your progress, understand your personality and identify your achievements, failures, weaknesses and have embraced strengths that will help you achieve your dreams.
Personal branding is a lifelong journey and I challenge you to onfidently present your authentic self today by doing a video of you marketing yourself and see if you're ready for greater accomplishments.

Branding and image are crucial elements in the modern business landscape, as they can profoundly impact the perception and success of both an individual and organization.
Before the widespread use of the internet, businesses and professionals were often more comfortable with traditional names, tags, and labels. However, the rise of the digital age has transformed the way we perceive and interact with brands. Today, a strong brand name or label can be more important than the business itself.
Consider how various job titles and professions have evolved over time. A "clerk" has transformed into a "secretary" or "personal assistant,"
a "cleaner" has become a "janitor,"
a "hairdresser" is now a "stylist,"
a "tailor" is a "fashion designer,"
a "cook" prefers to be called a "chef,"
a "trader" is an "entrepreneur,"
a teacher is an "educator,"
a "housewife" is now a "homemaker."
The importance of a name in branding cannot be overstated.
An "entrepreneur" is often perceived as more respected and successful than a "trader," and a "chef" is typically paid more than a "cook."
This shift in perception is a direct result of the power of branding and the impact it can have on how individuals and businesses are viewed.
Branding and rebranding should be taken seriously by any individual/organization that wants to succeed in the modern business environment. A strong, well-crafted brand can help differentiate a business from its competitors, build customer loyalty, and ultimately, drive growth and profitability.
In conclusion, the evolution of job titles and professional labels is a testament to the importance of branding. By understanding and embracing the power of branding, businesses and individuals can position themselves for greater success and recognition in the marketplace.

Trusting God may not be easy but you don't have a choice.
You know βGod has proven himself over and over.
He has assured you that 'no weapon formed against you will prosper' (Isaiah 54:17)
He has appealed to you to 'cast all your worries at his feet, for he cares for you' (1Peter 5:7)
Some people will leave the worries with God on Sunday and collect it from him on Monday. You dey whine? π

That God cares for the birds π¦ of the air and clothes the flowers πΈπΊπ»πΉπ·πΌπ of the forest (Matthew 6:28-32), should overpersuade you into relying solely on God.
You still find trusting God difficult?
Are you serious at all?
You trust a bike rider to drive you safely on a highway.
You trust a driver (some drunken) to drive you safely on your journey.
You trust a captain to ferry you safely across the ocean (the dwelling place of water spirits).
You trust a pilot to fly you safely across the abode of principalities and powers.
And when it comes to trusting God who created the world and holds it firmly in existence, you remember that it's difficult. Just dey play π

Trust God.
Rely solely on him.
He cares for you.

UTME result is out!
The result analysis is still shocking to many.
Many are still in denial of the analysis as the percentage of failure was high.
Many have become more doubtful of the authenticity of the mark schemes used (especially for English and some art subjects)
Some are already pointing accusing fingers.
In all, some facts are evident ( no matter how much we embrace denial)
π This UTME was to a greater extent free of malpractice (at least in urban areas) as the examiners at various centres seemed determined to get it right β
π JAMB was intentional about reducing examination malpractice to the barest. The fact that every centre and day had different question samples made it almost impossible to cheat.
π The examiners didn't joke with punctuality. Few students who arrived even 5 minutes late were denied entrance into the exam hall. This actually prevented several forms of malpractice especially giving opportunity for mercenaries to operate. This method should be adopted by WAEC especially the early arrival of examiners to exam centres.
π The early release of results was impressive. Though some people may argue that it's CBT. It doesn't negate the fact that this year's UTME was swift and almost free of hassles.
All things considered, it's glaring that most students aren't studious and the quality of education in experiencing a (downward) slope and the right questions need to be urgently addressed by all stakeholders in education.

It's few weeks to WASSCE and my students and I agree that we have really covered all topics in the syllabus hence, our time for intense revision.
I had to refresh their minds on the errors that would be penalized if found in the English Language Paper 2. As I read out those grammar errors from WASSCE MARK SCHEME, I asked them randomly to explain them and it was going very smoothly until we got to 'TRANSITIVE VERB FOR INTRANSITIVE VERB' and none of them could explain either transitive or intransitive verbs.
After 2 minutes, one of the students raised up his hands...
'Ma, I know it but I can't define it, can I give examples?'.
'Why not?' I responded since the situation has become that of 'who will bell the cat πππππ
'Ma, transitive verb is something like... HAVE YOU EATEN? While intransitive verb would be 'YOU DON CHOP?'
I joined the class in having a good laugh πππππππ€£π€£π€£π€£π€£. The student in question saw me today and continued the laughter from yesterdayπ€£π€£π€£π€£

A transitive verb is a verb that its action is transferable to an object while intransitive verb means a verb that the impact of the action can't be transferred which means that an intransitive verb doesn't require an object to make meaning.
