Portable came in with confidence after beating Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, but Carter Efe had other plans 😤

The Smart Petroleum Governance (SPG) policy represents a transformational framework designed to reposition Nigeria’s upstream petroleum sector as a globally competitive, digitally intelligent, and transparently managed system. Developed under the PBAT Smart Nation Initiative, the SPG envisions a future where data, technology, and governance intersect to deliver sustainable energy outcomes, strengthen investor confidence, and enhance regulatory performance through the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).

This blueprint aims to transform how petroleum governance operates—moving from manual, paper-based, and siloed operations to a data-driven, automated, and transparent digital ecosystem. SPG introduces integrated digital infrastructures that enable real-time oversight, revenue assurance, and environmental accountability across Nigeria’s upstream value chain.

SPG adopts a hybrid governance approach that merges Nigeria’s Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) mandates with emerging global standards in artificial intelligence, blockchain transparency, and smart data architecture.

Through the SPG, NUPRC will transition into a Smart Regulator — leveraging predictive analytics, blockchain-secured licensing, digital fiscal intelligence, and open data transparency portals. The policy provides a five-year phased roadmap for implementation, aligning Nigeria’s petroleum sector with Energy Transition 2060, National Digital Economy Policy, and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We are looking for volunteer expert tutors to teach and moderate the following certificate courses;

Front-end Engineering
Back-end Engineering
Cloud Engineering
Software Engineering

(remuneration are based on commission per student)

Responsibilities

The job responsibilities differ slightly depending on the course. However, typical responsibilities include:

Lesson planning, preparation, and research
Course planning and promotion
Prepare and upload video tutorials as well as weekly live video lectures and seminars for students, as well as prepare and upload teaching materials to the portal using new technology such as distance learning or video conferencing.
checking and grading students' work, and providing feedback
To effectively organize your tutorials, you will need internet access and video production equipment.
Tutors in Lagos are welcome to visit the office to use the video recording, editing, and uploading facilities.
