The importance of Children's Day.

Children’s day is a day to celebrate every child’s innocence, joy, and potential, also highlighting the importance of providing them with love, guidance, and opportunities. This day also serves as a reminder to protect children's rights, ensure their well-being, and create a better future for them.

Children's Day can be traced back to the early 20th Century, with the first official Celebration that takes place in Turkey.

In the United States, church service was dedicated to the children and was considered one of the earliest examples of a day celebrating children. Later, the idea of an International Children's Day was formally adopted at the World Conference on the Welfare of Children in 1925.

Children's Day is important because children are vital parts of the society and are the future of the world. It promotes child’s Rights because it emphasizes the importance of protecting children's right to Health, Education, and Protection, as outlined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It encourages community involvement as it gives time for communities to come together, create a better environment, where they can grow and thrive. 

Children's Day serves as a reminder of the importance of ensuring children's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. 

The day children’s day also, encourages children to dream big and work towards their goals, inspiring adults to create a world where every child can reach their full potential.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Warm greetings from Tailgate Schools.
We are delighted to inform you that our boys will be joining the global community to mark the International Day of the boy child on Tuesday 13th May, 2025
This day is set aside to celebrate the unique potential of the boy child while promoting values that support their growth into responsible and confident young men.
In line with this, the school leadership team has planned engaging and impactful sessions and the themes such as:
