Inflation in Nigeria is around 15%.

That means every year your money sits there, it is losing purchasing power. You are not growing wealth. You are watching it shrink slowly.

This is not investing. This is an expensive way to feel safe.

Here is where young people with time on their side should actually be looking:

1. ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds)
Think of it as buying a small piece of hundreds of companies at once. Platforms like Bamboo, Chaka, and Trove give you access. Long term, the S&P 500 has historically returned around 10% annually in dollar terms — that is real growth.

2. Nigerian Stocks via NGX
If you want naira-denominated investments, the Nigerian stock market has outperformed fixed income in several years. You can start with as little as ₦5,000 through a stockbroker.

3. Dollar-denominated platforms:
Risevest, Bamboo, and similar apps let you invest in dollars, which protects you from naira devaluation on top of giving you returns.

4. High-yield instruments (if you must do fixed income)
