"Remember the Son/Daughter of whom you are"... This 7-word phrase has presumably helped shape a lot of destinies, it is the go-to statement for parents as they bid you farewell from home, a reminder that you must now forge your path and own your choices.
As a kid I heard these words a lot, it set mind to purpose each time I left for boarding school.

Kindly share your own interactions with these words, or if there are variations that you know. Let us know if the words helped you or if they were just empty words.

looking forward to hearingĀ from you.

The recent unrest in many parts of Nigeria is a cause for re-evaluation.

We need to teach our kids not to discriminate, we ought to do this in deeds and in words.

Statements like "Ibos are cheats", "Fulanis are killers", "Yorubas are dirty", etc shouldn't be spoken or indulged by us especially around kids.

If an individual misbehaves isolate said person's actions and hold him/her responsible for those actions.

Don't label an entire tribe, religion or generation because of actions of individuals from said groups.

Bad behaviour is not a function of ethnicity, religion or nationality, it is a personal choice that must be treated as that.

Happy New Week People..

Let's make it a courteous one.
Do you know that when you're courteous people like you more and are more willing to deal with you?

Always say "Thank you" when you receive a service, no matter who is providing the service.

Always say "Please" when requesting a service, no matter who is providing the service.

It costs you nothing to be courteous, but it can earn you everything.

As we wade through the Covid pandemic, endeavour to rest properly.
Get at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep daily.

What do people say about you?
Do they say he's an honourable man/woman?
Can they trust you with their time, resources, life?
Do they think you compassionate or kind?
Would your absence be missed or celebrated?
Think deeply about this and make adjustments if and where necessary.

We should never underestimate peaceful times.

We must always strive to follow peace with everyone we encounter.

This would require compromises and tact but in the end the benefits are totally worth it.

Violence solves nothing it only creates animosity that breeds more violence.

History is littered with lessons on this and prosperity can only come when the land is at peace.
