Learn, perform better & gain confidence in your Studies. STUDY SMARTER NOT HARDER.

19/03/2026

In today's world, certificates are important, but skills give you extra strength.

A certificate can open a door, but a skill helps you stand out, solve problems, earn independently, and remain useful anywhere you find yourself.

Many graduates today are discovering that beyond classroom knowledge, practical skills make a big difference in real life. Skills like communication, digital literacy, problem-solving, financial management, content creation, public speaking, leadership, and even simple vocational skills can create opportunities.

A student who learns a skill early already has an advantage for the future.

Now let us hear from you 👇

What skill do you think every student should learn before leaving school, and why?

How to study when you feel tired but still need results 📚

Feeling tired doesn’t mean you should stop completely. It means you need a smarter approach.

Here’s what actually helps:
1. Study in short sessions
Don’t force long hours. Try 25–30 minutes, then take a short break. Your brain works better in small blocks.

2. Focus on one topic
Multitasking when you’re tired makes things worse. Pick one topic and finish it before moving on.

3. Revise, don’t start from scratch
When energy is low, reviewing what you already know is more effective than learning something new.

4. Use active study methods
Read out loud, explain the topic to yourself, or write quick summaries. Passive reading wastes energy.

5. Rest properly
Sometimes the best study decision is sleep. A rested brain understands faster than a tired one.

Remember: Studying tired is about being strategic, not stubborn.
Small, focused effort today is better than burning out tomorrow.
Save this for days when motivation is low.

COMMON GRAMMAR MISTAKE 🚨
Their vs There vs They’re

These three words sound almost the same, but they do very different jobs. Mixing them up can change the meaning of your sentence completely.
Let’s break them down clearly 👇
1. Their
Pronunciation: thair /ðeə/
Meaning: shows ownership or possession.
Use their when something belongs to people.
Example:
• Their books are on the table.
• Students should submit their work on time.
Think: ownership = their

2. There
Pronunciation: thair /ðeə/
Meaning: refers to a place, position, or introduces a sentence.
Use there when you are talking about location or pointing something out.
Example:
• Put the bag there.
• There is a mistake in this sentence.
Think: place or position = there

3. They’re
Pronunciation: thair /ðeə/
Meaning: a contraction of they are.
Use they’re only when you can replace it with they are.
Example:
• They’re studying late tonight.
• They’re confident about the test.

If you’re struggling academically, read this.

You are not slow.
You are not lazy.
You are not a failure.

Most times, you’re just using the wrong method.
Reading all night doesn’t always mean understanding.
Writing notes doesn’t always mean learning.
Trying harder isn’t the same as studying smarter.

Small, clear steps beat long, confusing hours.
Ask questions. Review often. Rest your mind.
Consistency will do what pressure cannot.
Your current struggle is not your final result.
Adjust your strategy, not your belief in yourself.
Keep going. You’re closer than you think.

One of our students once struggled with English.

Throughout secondary school, English was just average for them — not terrible, but never impressive. Scoring high in JAMB English felt almost impossible.
Instead of giving up, the student made a smart decision.

They studied four key English textbooks: Premier English, Oxford English, A1 in English, and A–Z in English for JAMB. More importantly, they practiced past questions consistently and focused on understanding mistakes rather than cramming.

The result?

A JAMB English score close to 80.
No magic. No overnight brilliance. Just the right guidance, smart study methods, and consistency.

This success proves what we believe at Avolira Academy Group: You don’t have to be naturally brilliant to succeed — you just need the right strategy, support, and discipline.

If English has always been a challenge for you or your child, improvement is possible. We’ve seen it happen.
