It's school resumption and not a war. Yes! you heard me right, it's expected that your children are already in bed by now but if not, do ensure that it happens right away.

That way, they can still have a good sleep ahead of the first day of school stress, especially for children around Lagos, where Monday morning is always like a newly launched battle, causing some children to give you over a thousand reasons going to school on the first day is not important.
So, the strategy is simple, encourage them to pick all that may cause any delays in the morning and give as much help as possible but ensure your help isn't abused.

Dear parent, can we have a quick gist? could you spare few minutes of your time so we share with you some of our experiences anytime schools resume from a long break like we about to have? What we are about sharing with you isn't easily noticeable, hence it's neither discussed nor given any attention at that.

Permit me to emphasise that we at CELAD LUMINARIES are a great group of educators who have worked across the Pre- primary to the Senior Secondary classes of both the private and public schools for at least two decades, we may not say a whole lot at a time but we're going to be dropping very important tips aimed at enhancing your children's journey through school life, ALL FOR FREE.

It's no longer news that schools resume for the new academic year in a matter of days and most learners are eager to go back to their second homes or so we think the school should be to our children but little do most people know that some children do not only wish that the holiday never come to an end, they want to have nothing doing in that place you drop them daily.

We are not blaming you for dropping them, infact you have done nothing wrong except for what we're about to tell you!
Are you even aware that the same classmate your child used to know is now a different being in all? I used to ask the same question you are asking now, I just heard you asking what's the difference? The answer is very simple. Two whole months! a lot has been learnt from different sources over this time that you're not aware of, you were only accountable for your child over that period, not others in his or her class and this definitely makes a whole lot of difference, whether positive or negative, so, for the first few weeks of resumption, expect plenty of Mummy this, daddy that..... but please do not be weary of the stories, receive every story and appropriately act.
You see that you have to start being proactive? which has been the missing link, it's the one basic thing you should do NOW! Sit your child(ren) for a brief PRE- RESUMPTION MEETING. That's the strategy. Wrap up your meeting this way - Expect anything from anyone but remember everything, especially your future depends on many things but YOU!
