So much to sayโฆvery little space. Lol. Because when I want to pour out, I want space.
Thereโs quite a gap between us age wise but Bibi came mature and we could have conversations with her like we were talking to our friends.
Iโm sure it was overwhelming growing up with โadultsโ cause for some reason everyone was always opinionated, assertive, talking, busy moving on with life ๐
I wonder what it was like from her viewpoint ๐
We must have been a noisy bunchโฆbut she handled it well.
Abioye never had to be over disciplined as child, you just needed to tell her where to stay or what to do and she did easily. In fact I boast about this to ML and FN because I get tired of repeating thesame thing a thousand times
โWhen your Aunty Bibi was your age we just needed to tell her something once!โ ๐
When Bibi and I are talking in her room and one of the children comes in, one of us says to them โIโm having a conversation with my sibling, can you go look for your own siblingโ ๐ฅฑ
She never had extreme teenage issues so I know its possible to be normal as a teenager. In fact everything I know about the stages of childhood or parenting is because I got a headstart from observing and helping to care for Bibi.
One time when we had to make some adjustments to Bibiโs education major, I didnโt know if she was going to dislike me for the rest of her life because of the role I played in that decision but Iโm so thankful that she was gracious and she went through that trying period with a growth mindset. Iโm also grateful that it ended in praise โค๏ธ
Every mistake I ever felt like I made..ah..I wanted to help correct with this child. Always on the beta testing team for every coaching module
Iโm so glad that now that we donโt make decision for her, she is able to make the best decisions for herself. Thereโs no greater joy than knowing that I donโt have to worry about her.
Iโm almost a MIL/ Grandmum ๐๐
Dear Son in Lawโฆyou will do Vision Clarity AssessmentโฆVision Feasibility test & so on because this one is a golden child. Lmao.. We canโt be having you not knowing where youโre headed with our flower ๐
Year 25 ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ Thank God with me!
Happy Birthday B

Thank you to my friends - day zeros, day ones and my new friends who are just catching up with this version of meโฆIโm just getring used to her too..
Thank you for last year. Iโm still overwhelmed with how sacrificial you were with your time, energy and resources๐
Love is real and I have felt it through you, you and even the newest youโค๏ธ

About Perspectives and Viewpoints
I see what I see from my angle, and someone else sees something different from their angle. We all capture things differently based on where we are.
In life, even if we feel like what we see is the ultimate truth, we must be willing to hear the next person out to understand why they believe theirs is also the ultimate truth.
Our experiences differ, but we all have stories. Hearing people out is the only way to give them the chance of a new perspective and make them shift to your corner to see what you see and experience something new.
If thereโs a gift Iโm grateful for in this season of my life, itโs the gift of listening.
Through listening, I see mannerisms, I hear tones, I hear the things that are unsaid, I notice body languages. I sense what fires people up and what they may possibly be concealing. I know what they are comfortable sharing and what they prefer to keep private. Listening is so underrated but it is the key to almost every door in the form of a human soul.
I have learnt that you never force anybody; you present your case to the best of your ability and let it go. People want what they want and they will because they have will power. Itโs okay to let people get to the point where they decide or undecided what they now want by themselves after you have chipped in one or two things that may or may not help.
This lesson has been challenging because Iโm passionate about my thoughts and beliefs. They were/are formed from a place of keen observation, care and responsibility, test and trust, common good and respect, authenticity and a bunch of other good values. Iโm an advocate on the outside but an activist in my head. Naturally more of a teacherโฆ an adapted coach.
But I wonโt lie; Iโm now enjoying the ease, peace, and rest that come from sharing an opinion but not assuming the responsibility to ensure the next person takes it hook, line, and sinker.
Iโm in a happier place.
18/07/2024
At the beginning of the year, I shared about how this year was going to be all about pursuing ease, peace and rest and I think my subconscious mind is calling for it.
Thereโll be days when you feel ๐ฏ and days when you donโt.
Yesterday in conversation with two of my sister friends, I had to be honest about how I have been for a few weeks now.
Iโve been following my normal work routine, designing, writing, having sessions but everything has been mechanical.
โI canโt feel my heart just my headโ I blurted out yesterday.
Itโs a thing for me because everything I churn out, every design, every piece of writing, email newsletter, every personal development training or course I put together has be born from a place where my heart and mind intersect and itโs that connection that Iโm missing.
So for the next few weeks itโs going to be heart therapy for me. lol. Easy days, more under the duvet days, lots of carefully curated happy introspective music, romantic movies, funny memes, and everything to infuse lightness, weightlessness, love and happiness.
Iโm looking forward to more laughter, satisfied eyes and youthful skin as I focus on me.
In this season, Iโm also reminding myself that if 50% is all I have and I give 50% to what Iโm doing, then I have given my all. No pressures.
If youโre feeling this way too or you resonate with this, then Iโm rooting you โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

Someone asked me why Lagos girls stick their tongue out when they are dancing ๐
..I was still trying to figure that answer outโฆ
Then I saw this photo of me sticking my tongue out and the fam doing whatever they were doing. Lol.
I thought itโd be good to say Happy New Month from not just me but Us. I pray you a beautiful month ๐๐๐
I also wanted to say something to you and if youโre on a journey of intentional growth you may have experience this before,
Some people admire you quite alright but when they relate with you, they give โcompete with youโ and โtry to out-do youโ vibesโฆ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Donโt engage. Keep doing what youโre doing. Focus on Godโs work and channel it to those he sent you to. The moment you engageโฆ you lose your focus, you waste meaningful time, energy and resources that could be used for something better and you lose your power (yes, your God-given valuable gift and ability). I hope this is as clear as can beโฆI don't know how else to explain it but I hope you get if this concerns you. Folakemi is back o. More conversations coming. Love always ๐ฅฐโค๏ธ๐
Oya Lagos girls, why do you stick your tongue out when youโre dancing? ๐ Do the dance steps flow better that way or what? Is this even true sef? Is it just Lagos girls? Lol
Glad to be backโค๏ธ

Living by Design is a thought provoking book! From the Architectural analogies to the Real Life scenarios I was locked in. I see this project going places. It's a book for everybody regardless of your age.
I also believe that schools need to adopt this book for their students to help set them on the right path and align them with purpose from really early.
Read this and get a copy for you, your friends and mentees too. Thank me later ๐
Congratulations Abraham Owoseni๐๐๐

The subject โPurposeโ is a universal conversation, yet many struggle to grasp its essence fully. Beyond discovery, not everyone is living it out. As someone deeply entrenched in the field of education, I've learned that:
1. Who teaches you matter in the journey of understanding and mastering a subject;
2. The methodical approach of the curriculum significantly impacts the depth of understanding.
Drawing from my background in architecture, it dawned on me that no intentional construction endeavour can ever go on without a design. Similarly, life requires a design. Celebrating birth-days every year can be likened to floors in a construction, but then, how do we know what weโre constructing without a design?
That's why, on April 19, 2021, I embarked on a mission to help individuals master the subject of purpose in a relatable, practical, and actionable manner. The result Is this book, "๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ป: ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐
If you've ever felt uncertain about your life's purpose or found yourself yearning for more, this book is for you. It demystifies the quest for clarity and ignites a renewed passion for living intentionally.

Why wait until a certain age before thinking about living?
Why relegate the essence of life to a distant future?
Why settle for mere existence when true living beckons?
