The IELTS Reading test is a 60-minute module featuring 40 questions across 3 progressively difficult passages.

Test-takers must quickly navigate texts and accurately complete various question types to evaluate deep comprehension.

Format & Structure
● Time & Questions: 1 hour total; 3 sections with 40 questions in total.
● Scoring: Each correct answer is worth 1 mark. _There are no penalties for wrong answers._
● Passages: Total text length is typically 2,150 to 2,750

Hey Trailblazers, 🫵🏽

One of my students recently sent me a message after receiving their IELTS result. It simply said:

"Sir... you were right."

A few weeks earlier, they had questioned why I insisted on rewriting essays, retaking mock tests, reviewing mistakes, and repeating lessons.

The truth is, many candidates think improvement comes from consuming more materials. It doesn't.

Real improvement comes from mastering what you've already learned.

That's why I emphasize repetition, feedback, and consistent practice—not because I want to make preparation harder, but because I want you to achieve your target band score.

When the results came out, that same student finally understood why I insisted.

Don't just study more. Study smarter.

One day, you'll thank yourself for not giving up—and you'll thank your coach for pushing you beyond your comfort zone.

Hello, Trailblazers! 👋🏼

I was reviewing some past IELTS results just this morning and came across an Overall Band 8.0:

🎧 Listening: 8.0
📖 Reading: 8.0
✍️ Writing: 7.5
🗣️ Speaking: 7.5

At first glance, it's just a PDF with a few numbers. But that result can open doors to university admission, visas, professional registration, and better career opportunities.

What many people don't see is what came before the result. 🕯️📚📖

Hello, Candidates!

This morning, my pastor said something profound:

"Many people don't reject God's answers because they're stubborn. They reject them because they're expecting God to answer a different question."

That made me think about IELTS preparation.

Many candidates ask, "How can I improve my vocabulary?"when the real question should be, "What's preventing me from getting my target band score?"

Most people don't fail because they don't study — they fail because they're solving the wrong problem.

Once you identify your real weakness, your preparation becomes focused, effective, and productive.

Remember: _Sometimes, the biggest breakthrough doesn't come from finding a new answer — it comes from asking the right question.

A disappointing IELTS result tells you one thing.

☆ Your previous preparation didn't produce the outcome you wanted.
That's all‼️

■ It doesn't tell you you're incapable.
■ It doesn't tell you your English isn't good enough.
■ And it certainly doesn't tell you you'll never achieve your target band.

Unfortunately, many candidates stop there.

Some give up completely while others prepare again... using exactly the same approach that produced the disappointing result in the first place.
Now that is the mistake.

If you're going to try again, don't repeat the same preparation and hope for a different outcome.

1️⃣ Change the approach.
2️⃣ Get better feedback.
3️⃣ Study with structure.
4️⃣ Ask questions.
5️⃣ Be held accountable.

Hey guys,

One of the hardest conversations I have with candidates isn't immediately after they fail the IELTS.
It's usually a few weeks later....
The emotions have settled. Life has gone back to normal and then they say something that breaks my heart every single time.

"Coach... maybe this exam just isn't for me."
Or...
"I've tried everything. I don't think I can do this anymore."

Whenever I hear those words, I realise something... They've identified the wrong mistake.‼️
They think the mistake was failing the exam. *I don't.

The mistake wasn't failing. Rather, it is allowing one result to become the final verdict on what they're capable of.
Those are two completely different things.

Not every successful IELTS result is an 8.0 or 8.5.

Success isn't determined by the highest score—it's determined by whether you achieved the score you need.

If your target is 5.0 and you score 5.5, you've succeeded. If you need 6.5 and score 6.5, you've succeeded.

Stop comparing your results with others. Focus on the score that will help you achieve your academic, professional, or migration goals.

The goal isn't the highest band score—it's the right band score for your future.
