Phones are raising children faster than parents, fix this.

It doesn’t start big.
It starts with “just one video” to keep them quiet.

Then slowly, the phone becomes the teacher, the entertainer, and the comforter.
Before you realise it, your child listens to a screen more than they listen to you.
Phones are not evil.

But without control, they take your place.
A child who spends more time on a screen than with a parent will learn more from the screen than from the parent.

And what are they learning?
• Values you didn’t teach
• Behaviour you didn’t approve
• Attitudes you don’t understand

Digital parenting is not about banning phones.
It is about leading your child while they use them.

Set clear limits.
Know what they watch.
Talk about what they see.
Replace some screen time with real conversations.

Because no screen can give your child what your presence can.
If you don’t guide their digital life, something else will.

Phones are tools.
Parents are builders.

Today, let us talk about the real Father.

Fathers the head of home

A father should not reduce his role to “helping” while the mother raises the child. He is there to give direction, not using the beer parlour as an escape from responsibility.

Children don’t just need provision. They need presence.

A present father builds:
• Confidence, when a child feels seen and valued
• Discipline, through guidance, not fear
• Identity, especially for boys learning manhood and girls learning self-worth

When a father is absent, something is missing.
When a father is present but passive, something is still missing.

Your role is not secondary.
It is foundational.

Speak to your children, it goes a long way.
Correct them with calmness. It is not about using your deep voice to intimidate them.
Show them what responsibility looks like.

Because one day, your child will not just remember what you gave…
They will remember who you were.

Fathers are not assistants.
They are builders.
