Many children can memorize words, but they don't always understand what those words represent.

Learning nouns is one of the first steps to building strong language skills in both English and Yoruba.

📖 In today's lesson, we learned about Ọ̀RỌ̀ ORÚKỌ (Noun).

A noun is the name of a person, animal, place, or thing.

✅ Names of People: Sade, Tunde
✅ Names of Animals: Ajá (Dog), Eran (Animal/Meat)
✅ Names of Places: Ìbàdàn, Èkó (Lagos)
✅ Names of Things: Tàbìlì (Table), Àga (Chair)

Simple lessons like this help children build confidence in speaking, reading, and understanding Yoruba while strengthening their overall language foundation.

✅ I love to read — Mo nífẹ̀ẹ́ láti kàwé

🍎 Ṣẹẹ̀bù pupa (Red apple)

🐘 Eranko ńlá (Big animal)

🏢 Ilé gíga (Tall building)

👧 Ọmọbìnrin alayọ̀ (Happy girl)

Many children can understand Yoruba but struggle to use descriptive words confidently when speaking.

Learning àṣejù orúkọ (adjectives) helps children: ✅ Speak Yoruba more fluently
