Greetings everyone, including youngsters and children! Today marks World Book Day!!! Happy International World Book Day. This year, we are commemorating a significant concept: “Go All In” on reading. In essence, we want every individual — yes, you! — to derive pleasure from reading and allow books to transport you to extraordinary adventures. Books are akin to magical portals. Upon opening a book, you can traverse distant lands, encounter courageous heroes, acquire new knowledge, and revel in humorous characters. Certain books prompt reflection, others inspire curiosity, and some evoke feelings of joy or excitement! Regardless of your affinity for animals, astronomy, fables, mysteries, or anecdotes, there exists a book that will resonate with you. Reading enhances your imagination, augments your intelligence, and refines your writing and critical thinking skills. Reading is not merely an academic pursuit; it is a lifelong instrument. It hones our cognitive abilities, fortifies our communication skills, broadens our empathy, and cultivates innovation. Leaders are often avid readers. Visionaries are typically well-read. Change-makers frequently possess a strong reading habit. So, on this day, I encourage you to reflect on the following questions: What genre of book sparks your interest? What unexplored world would you like to discover? How can reading contribute to your personal growth?
