THE PERSISTENT KNOCKER

EPISODE 1

Let me begin with this physical analysis.
HOW long can you stay at someone's door or gate to knock until the door or gate is opened.
OK. Let me assume your perseverance for 2 hours. Can you wait?
Oh I forgot! The thing you want to receive when the door is open is between life and death. Then you can wait for 24 hours before you begin to murmur.
I (in my own opinion) don't think anyone can wait in the physical. You would have been frustrated by people around the house,they will be looking at you as if you don't have work to do and you will be forced to stay back even when you haven't reached your goal.
THE PERSISTENT KNOCKER
EPISODE 2
For better understanding, let's add a short dramatic dialogue of a knocker who stayed at someone's gate for longer time knocking with the responses from the community members or passers-by giving him different advices.
THE KNOCKER: ko ko ko ( I have been knocking for over 2 hours and no one opens. Haa! I am tired but the person that said I should come today didn't tell me it will be like this o.(he angrily muttered)
A PASSERS-BY: Good morning sir( greeting the knocker )
THE KNOCKER: Yes sir (exchanging pleasantries)
ANOTHER PASSERSBY: E pele sir o
ANOTHER PASSERSBY: So they've not attended to you, e ku suuru o, abi we should bring a long mat so as to sleep.
THE KNOCKER: Haaa they love greetings in this place o abi e fe joye akiniku ni.( he soliloquised)
ANOTHER PASSERSBY: Hello sir
THE KNOCKER(answered angrily due to his sedentary stay at the door) helooooo ha,how many people want to greet me. I am tired jare.
It is not your fault, the person that informed me about this place didn't tell me I have to wait this manner.

EPISODE 3
BABA AWIKONKO: Why are you looking morosely, se emi ni mo koba yin ni i.e am I the one who had delayed you here?. Well, I have been watching you for over an hour from my house.
THE KNOCKER : And so... ?
BABA AWIKONKO: I just want to tell you that you should try another means of reaching out to him because that's his normal behavior here as if they are the only person with gated house.
THE KNOCKER: Which other means o my brother.? I rang the door bell no one responded. I knocked the gate,no single response, what else do you want me to do? I have stayed for over 4 hours here.
(A minute later, about 5 community members had gathered to talk to the man at the gate.)
MR JAIRU (one of the community members) e pele o brother wa.
THE KNOCKER(now he is excessively tired) yes sir, e pele sir( he thought he would give a good advice)
MR JAIRU: jumping over the fence could be another option since you're so desperate to see the house owner today.
THE KNOCKER(he was bewildered for hearing such an ugly advice from a well respected handsome looking man) So you think I am so daft!. Can't you see the bulldog inside? You want people to call me thief or you want the dog to chop my sc***um?
MR JAIRU: (was dumbfounded) e ma binu o because even till tomorrow, they may not open the door for you because there are many good things in the house but many of us here don't have access. A fi suuru o..

EPISODE 4
BABA AMOYE: Good afternoon o( the knocker had stay beyond 2pm so everyone responded to baba's greeting) good afternoon Baba, e ku ataaro.(baba asked) have you not informed this man that this is the actual attitude of the owner of the house? Many people are told about him but when they rush here to enter, it will be difficult for them.
OTHERS: Yes o baba, we have told him but wouldn't answer.
BABA AMOYE : OK. young man follow me to my house to take some juice and rest for some hours since you said th7ey must attend to you today.
THE KNOCKER: Baba, I will rather stay here till tomorrow. Do you know why?(asked with tears rolling on his cheeks)
(He continued) it was my friend who introduced me to this place. He came yesterday,nocked the gate and was opened for him to enter. All what he requested from the owner of the house were released to him even more than what he requested. Why is my own like this?(he gnashed his teeth in agony) I need this thing, I have been knocking since morning with different styles. I have called but hasn't yielded positive result. If I follow you now, he may come out without attending to me.
THE KNOCKER: (woke up suddenly after an unintentionally sleep) Oh my God, I have slept off. Hope the house owner hasn't gone out,then(he heard a voice behind him, he was frightened and speechless) "Are you the owner of this house",he asked with inquisitiveness.
Everyone left the knocker at the man's gate when he insisted he wouldn't go until the door is opened and also it was getting to dusk.
THE PERSISTENT KNOCKER
(EPISODE 5)
THE UNKNOWN MAN: Did you not have any entrance paper given to you by your friend who introduced you to this house?
THE KNOCKER: NO! he only told me to keep knocking and the door shall be opened.
THE UNKNOWN MAN: I am sorry, you can't enter because the house owner did not hear you knocking and he was not on the know that you are coming here.
THE KNOCKER: It's a lie, I have been knocking this gate since 5am and this is 12am. Almost 24 hours. My friend who introduced me here had told him about me.
THE UNKNOWN MAN: Several people who have the entrance paper have been coming in but you can not see them.
THE KNOCKER: This is a blatant lie. Did they disappear or what?
THE UNKNOWN MAN: Calm down my brother. Do you really want to enter into the house?
THE KNOCKER: ha! What kind of rhetorical question is this? I really want to enter oooo( he wept profusely) What can I doooo?
THE UNKNOWN MAN: Go back to the one who introduced you to this house to tell you more about how to gain entrance. He will tell you the entrance password. There are many passwords inside a book. You have to painstakingly study the book to memorize the password before you can come back here.

(EPISODE 6)
THE KNOCKER( wanted to hold the unknown man so that he could help him instead of going back to his friend for pass codes) Book?.which book? Sir, I am a graduate. A seasoned IT person. Which password can not be unlocked by me. Please explain further.
As he was trying to grab him then the knocker woke up from his long dream. He was sweating profusely. His panting could cover distance .
WHO IS THE KNOCKER?
The knocker is "YOU" I repeat, "YOU and I"
How long can we wait until the door is opened.
You were preached to but you are not deeply rooted in His word, only what you want is the miracle. Your password is the word through which you will understand the work of the Holy Spirit.(Galatians 5:22-26)
Some are believers but never have the password to enter into His court. They have been knocking for many years but no response.
The knocker's voice was not reckoned with because Holy spirit isn't in him.
Does He recognise your knocking?
The passers-by are the distractions you are encountering as Christians. Do you yield to their advice? Do you prefer to take some rest with cold juice.
Keep knocking with the correct password. He will show up to you. It is a matter of time.
