Sometimes when you work on a film that lacks any visually stimulating element for sound design you have to really dig deep and think about elements that can bring life into the film.
Due to budget or some other reasons most Nollywood films are shot this way - with scanty extras, poorly chosen locations/sets etc. These usually have an adverse effect on the soundscape during sound design.
The production team on King of Thieves did well at ticking most of these boxes. It was easier to get cues from the background actors what sort of activities the people in that era engage in...hence the background sounds we created for this film.
Dear filmmaker, if you want your next epic to have a really juicy soundscape put some extra thoughts on the activities in the background (visuals)...and yes, take it to the right place for audio post.

I can't chase unbelievable deadlines and credits at the same time. .
Producers need more education and stop misplacing credits.
Grave errors like these shouldn't be taken with levity.
It is my life's work.
It is my sweat.
I restrained long enough to say anything about this. So far I'm really disappointed with how this situation has been handled.
