The management of Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has officially closed the online screening exercise for candidates who applied through UTME and Direct Entry for admission into the 2025/2026 academic session.

This announcement marks the end of the admission screening process for all prospective students who selected LASU as their institution of choice and participated in the mandatory screening exercise.

All candidates who successfully completed their registration and met the university’s eligibility requirements are advised to stay alert for updates regarding the admission list, which will be released in due course on the university’s official admission portal.

Meanwhile, applicants who failed to participate in the just-concluded screening exercise may have forfeited their chance of gaining admission into the university for the current academic year.
The university appreciates the cooperation of all applicants throughout the process and assures them of a transparent and merit-driven admission procedure.

UPDATE ON LASU ONGOING 2025/2026 ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE🔥
READ TO THE END!!!

1. Candidates should know that both payment and registration/updating would last for Twenty-Seven
[27] days i.e., Monday 30th June – Saturday, 26th July, 2025/ (12 midnight).

2. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the Lagos State University 2025/2026 Admission Screening Exercise (Regular Students), for candidates seeking admission via UTME (100 level) and DIRECT Entry. This ONLINE screening exercise is mandatory for entry into Lagos State University.

CANDIDATES ARE TO NOTE THAT THEY CAN ONLY APPLY FOR THE ABOVE DURING THE ADMISSION SCREENING.📌

3. Candidates who have chosen Lagos State University as their First Choice of institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and have scored a minimum of 195 marks are eligible to participate in the Online Admission Screening Exercise. In addition, candidates must be at least 16 years of age, by 1st October, 2025.

4. Lagos State indigenes who have completed the physical interview and CLEARED but whose Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVE) codes are yet to be verified and are therefore unable to complete their online registration are advised to remain CALM as uploading of IIVE codes on the online admission screening portal is being carried out in batches.

5. "If Lagos State is stated as your state of origin on your JAMB profile and you did not PARTICIPATE in the Lagos State Indigeneship Verification Exercise, you will NOT be able to proceed with the online Admission Screening registration, as the system automatically restricts unverified candidates."

6. Candidates of Lagos State origin, for 100 & 200 levels, who have proved their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) set up by the Lagos State University, will have their claims automatically validated in the Online Admission Screening Exercise.

7. ALL Pre Degree Studies (PDS) students who have successfully completed their studies and wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University in the 2025/2026 Academic Session, who must have chosen Lagos State University as their First Choice of institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and have scored a minimum of 195 marks are eligible to participate in the Online Admission Screening Exercise.

8. ALL Direct Entry candidates, including LASU Foundation (JUPEB), who wish to be considered for admission into Lagos State University for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, who must have obtained Direct Entry Form from Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and must have chosen Lagos State University as their first choice of institution are also eligible and must apply for the screening exercise (ONLY LASU DIPLOMA is acceptable for Direct Entry (DE) Admission EXCEPT NCE into Faculty of Education Programmes)📌.

9. Previously, candidates were encouraged to use two sittings when applying to LASU, as it helped improve their screening score.
However, LASU has now updated its admission policy. From now on, 0.3 marks will be deducted for each subject if you apply with two sittings.

UPDATE: JAMB INTRODUCES PROFILE EMAIL SERVICE TO REPLACE LOST SIM CARDS🔥

The “Profiled Email” service is a new process designed to help candidates who have lost their SIM cards or need to update their email address on the JAMB platform.

This service allows candidates to add a new email address to their profile, which can be used to access various features and services on the platform.

STEPS TO IMPLEMENT THE PROFILED EMAIL SERVICE

Step 1: OBTAIN AND COMPLETE THE TEMPLATE

To start the process, candidates need to visit an accredited CBT center and request the required template (TEMPL 006).

The candidate will then complete the template by filling in the necessary details, such as:

✓Registration Number
✓Phone number
✓Profile code
✓New email address (which must not have been used on the JAMB platform before).

The candidate will also sign a declaration/attestation section on the template to affirm their responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided.
