I was invited by the Lagos State University Faculty of Management Sciences to partner in the 27th MASALASU Pageant. This invitation beautifully aligns with the vision and mission of the Caverra Empowerment Foundation, and we were delighted to honor it.

The event was truly remarkable. As a special guest, I had the privilege of speaking on the theme “Radiance and Regality.” It was a moment to inspire the students to embrace confidence, purpose, and excellence in all they do.

Our active presence was warmly received, and the students were genuinely pleased to have us with them. It was a meaningful experience and another opportunity to positively impact young minds. we are open to partnership.

TO PARENTS OF TEENAGERS WRITING SENIOR EXAMINATIONS

As the season of senior examinations approaches, Caverra Empowerment Foundation wishes to remind all parents and guardians of the crucial role they play in guiding their teenagers through this defining phase of their lives. This period is not only academically demanding but also emotionally and socially sensitive for many young people.

Teenagers preparing for major examinations are often exposed to strong peer influence. Unfortunately, this influence sometimes leads them toward unhealthy and destructive behaviors, including smoking, va**ng, drug use, alcohol consumption, sexual activities, and other harmful vices. Many teenagers are pressured, cajoled, or subtly lured into these acts — often in an attempt to prove maturity or to “belong” to a particular peer group.

Caverra Empowerment Foundation encourages all parents to be more intentional, observant, and supportive during this period.

Key Recommendations for Parents
1. Monitor Their Activities:
Know where your teenagers are going, who they are meeting, and what environments they are exposed to.
2. Strengthen Communication:
Create open, judgment-free channels of communication. Let them feel safe discussing their challenges, fears, and social pressures.
3. Reinforce Positive Values:
Encourage discipline, responsibility, and self-control. Remind them that true maturity is not measured by risky behavior but by wise choices and strong character.
4. Protect Them From Peer Pressure:
Guide them to confidently reject negative influence. One wrong step, one trial, or one moment of curiosity can have long-lasting consequences.
5. Be Present and Supportive:
Your guidance, encouragement, and emotional presence can significantly help them maintain focus, remain positive, and stay grounded during this demanding period.

Teenagers represent the foundation of every society — the bridge between childhood and adulthood. At this stage of life, they are full of curiosity, energy, and untapped possibilities. However, without proper guidance and support, much of that potential can remain hidden or even wasted. That is why helping teenagers identify their true potential is not just important — it is a basic necessity for individual growth and national development.

During the teenage years, young people begin to shape their sense of identity, values, and purpose. They are at a crossroads where decisions and influences can determine the direction of their lives.
