Character formation is a daily process, not a one-time decision.

📖 “Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much…” — Luke 16:10

Who you are becoming is shaped by what you consistently do—especially in the small, unseen moments.

As a single, this is your season to build the habits and discipline that will sustain your future relationships. Don’t wait until marriage to develop character—start now.

📖 “Train yourself for godliness.” — 1 Timothy 4:7

Because the truth is:
👉 The character you build today is the foundation you will carry into your future home.

Practical ways to grow daily:

- Tell the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable
- Keep your word, even in small things
- Control your reactions instead of acting in anger
- Be disciplined, even when you don’t feel like it
- Treat people with respect, regardless of their response.

Character is not proven in big moments—it is revealed in daily choices.

Oh my! Some workplaces can be wildly toxic 😃

I once worked in a school.

Listen ehn… if you entered that place without knowing who you were, they would reduce you to crumbs.

And even those of us that were well-rooted in our identity?
Ah. We were not spared the gaslighting.

Before I got the job, I negotiated properly o.
The salary I insisted on was not even on their payment scale.
They had to adjust to accommodate me.

Sharp girl. 😌

But when I resumed?

I realized something.

It was their culture to keep picking at you until you started doubting yourself.

Little comments.
Subtle comparisons.
Constant corrections.
Energy that makes you start asking, “Am I the problem?”

Strategic.

Because when people feel small, they stay.
When people feel unworthy, they cling.
When people lose confidence, they lose the courage to leave.

But identity is a dangerous thing to carry in such spaces.

📖 “I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

When you truly believe what God says about you manipulation starts bouncing off you.

My people, I left o. Abeg 😌.

And I left well. No drama. No insults. I closed the door properly.

📖 “As much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” — Romans 12:18

And got a much better offer.

Last time I checked, the familiar faces were gone.
Teachers keep leaving every now and then.

It’s well.

But here is my point — especially to my dear Singles.

Identity is not pride.
It is not ego.
It is not “I too know.”

It is simply agreeing with God.

If you are made in His image, you are not designed to be shrunk by anybody.

If you have to constantly reduce yourself to be loved…
If your confidence intimidates someone who claims they care about you…
If you must act small so someone else can feel big…

Check it.

You may not be in the right environment.

Workplace.
Friendship.
Relationship.

The right place stretches you — it does not suffocate you.

The right person celebrates your light — they don’t switch it off.

Know who you are.
Anchor there.
And if necessary?

Leave well.

Identity is not loud.
But it has backbone.

What Do You Naturally Carry?

Dear Single,

Before you say “I do,”
You must first say, “I know.”

👉 I know who I am...

👉 I know what I carry...

👉 And I know who complements me.

Let’s talk about WIRING — the inner current that shapes how you show up in relationships.

❤️ Some people are naturally wired to GIVE LOVE.

They:

Nurture easily

Speak in tender tones

Offer emotional safety

Express affection freely

Prioritize unity over ego

They don’t struggle to show love — it flows.

🤝 Others are naturally wired to GIVE RESPECT.

They:

Speak with honour

Value responsibility

Uphold structure and leadership

Feel deeply about being trusted

Respect space, not just presence

They don’t struggle to show respect — it shows.

The Conflict?

Many homes today suffer from imbalance.

Two people both craving love...

Or two people both craving respect...
Yet, neither giving what the other truly needs.

Love feels unloved.

Respect feels disrespected.

And the home becomes a battlefield instead of a balance point.

The Wisdom?

Know what you’re naturally wired to give.

Know what you deeply need to feel safe.

And most importantly—
Choose someone who doesn’t just excite you… but balances you.

Ask yourself:

Do I find it easier to love than to honour?

Do I light up when I'm cherished or when I'm respected?

What did past relationships teach me about what I lacked?

💍 Choose for COMPLEMENT, not similarity.

God didn’t design homes to be imbalanced duplicates —
He designed them to be divine complements.

When Love meets Respect:

Hearts are nurtured

Egos are humbled

Homes are healed

📖 Proverbs 24:3–4 (TPT)
“Wise people are builders—they build families, businesses, communities.
And through intelligence and insight their enterprises are established and endure.
Because of their skilled leadership, the hearts of people are filled with the treasures of wisdom and the pleasures of spiritual wealth.”

This is not about gender.
It’s about wisdom — building a life with someone who balances your strength and completes your lack.

📌 Final Word:
Stop just looking for chemistry.
Start discerning wiring and assignment alignment.

Ask God:
Who balances what I carry and helps me become what I lack?

That’s how you don’t just marry emotion —
You marry divine balance.

“Okay now, go and marry someone you will have to beg people to give you money to buy diapers for your baby.”

That was the statement made to me by a “big aunty in the Lord” when I said I was going to marry someone who wasn’t rich—but someone I could grow with.

By God’s grace, over 5 years later…
we have never had to beg anyone to cater for our family—and it will not happen in Jesus’ name!

Instead, we keep waxing stronger day by day. 😊

I remember how we started.

I had to leave a seemingly more “civilized” area for a lower-priced one so we could build gradually from there.

Abi, make we go rent apartment wey we no fit afford? 😁

But looking back now… all I see is God all through the journey. 😊😊

Ah! We are a true definition of the faithfulness of God, I must say.

So it’s really surprising when some people think—or even say—I married because of money.

Me? 😄

I didn’t marry for money o. Even before marriage, I wasn’t one who depended on people—I worked my fingers to the bone.

In fact, left to me, I wouldn’t have married when I did… me that wanted to read Cambridge before marriage? 😁

Hmm… I tell you, my marriage is the full definition of “God leads.”

So here’s a reminder to singles:

Material possessions should not be the foundation for choosing a life partner.

As how nau?
You don already give up on yourself? 🙄

Money can be made.
Wealth can grow.

But:

values
character
complementary wiring
purpose
alignment

These are not built overnight.

Abeg, as you go to the market of spouse, carry the wisdom of God join your prayers.
Lean into Him to guide you rightly.

📖 “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them…” — Isaiah 42:16
