Lesson Notes vs Teaching Notes: Which is Better?
So many tutors over the years have come to prefer any of teaching note or lesson note.
I am going to to be analysing the pros and cons of the both, while I can assure you that I prefer teaching note personally.
As a teacher, I've used both Lesson Notes and Teaching Notes. Here's why I prefer Teaching Notes:
Lesson Notes:
Pros:
1. Detailed outline of lessons
2. Helps students review material
3.Organized structure
4.Lesson Notes can be useful for new teachers or complex subjects.
5. Lesson Notes can be time-consuming to prepare.
Cons:
1. Focuses on content rather than delivery
2. Can be rigid and inflexible
3. May not account for classroom dynamics
Teaching Notes:
Pros:
1. Emphasizes delivery and engagement
2. Flexible and adaptable to classroom needs
3. Focuses on teaching strategies and techniques
4. Enhances student-teacher interaction
5. Teaching Notes allow for more creativity and spontaneity.
6. Teaching Notes promote student-centered learning.
Cons:
1. May lack detailed content outline
2. Requires more teacher preparation
Why I Prefer Teaching Notes:
Teaching Notes prioritize the art of teaching, allowing me to:
1. Connect with students on a personal level
2. Adapt lessons to meet diverse needs
3. Encourage active learning and participation
4. Improve classroom management
While Lesson Notes provide a structured outline, Teaching Notes empower me to create engaging, effective lessons.

Myth-Busting Time
As a teacher, I've heard it too many times: "School is a scam." But is it really?
The truth is Education is a valuable investment in yourself. School provides:
- A foundation for critical thinking and problem-solving
- Access to diverse perspectives and knowledge
- Development of social skills and emotional intelligence
- Preparation for future careers and opportunities
- A safe space for personal growth and exploration
- School provides a structured environment for learning and development.
- Education correlates with higher earning potential and better life outcomes.
- Teachers dedicate themselves to helping students grow.
- School fosters socialization, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Continuous improvement efforts aim to address education's challenges.
Why the Myth Persists:
Misconceptions spread due to:
- Limited understanding of education's purpose
- Frustration with outdated teaching methods
- Inequitable access to quality education
- Misinformation on social media
- Disillusionment with the education system's flaws
The Reality:
School is not perfect, but it's a vital stepping stone for success. Let's work together to improve education, not dismiss it.
By sharing your perspective as a teacher or not, you can help dispel the myth and promote a more positive understanding of education.
Share your positive school experiences. Let's break the myth.

GREETINGS
Whether you are going to be working in a French speaking country or you are going to spend sometime with your french speaking friends , you'll want to be able to chat with people and get to know them better . The phrases below will help you talk naturally to friends , family and colleagues in a number of everyday situations.
Just as in English, there are several ways of greeting people in French , depending on who you are addressing , and whether you want to be formal or not .
Say *Bonjour madame/mademoiselle/monsieur ( Good morning ma'am/ miss/sir)* if you want to sound polite and just *Bonjour* to someone you know a little. If you are on a friendly terms with someone, you can say *Salut*(Hi!)
Bonjour -- Hello
Bonjour -- good morning
Salut -- hi
Bonsoir -- good evening
NB: In French There is no equivalent for good morning and good afternoon. People just say Bonjour during the day or bonsoir in the evening.
In most French countries you can hear them say Bon aprรจs midi which means Good afternoon.
Thanks for following up today's tip .
I will soon be dropping videos to help with the pronunciation.
