Guidelines on How to Apply and Get a Nursing Job in the UK from Nigeria/Ghana/Other African countries

1. Get Your valid International Passport, Birth Certificate, Original Nursing Diploma, Original Nursing Registration Documents, Police Clearance (if you are outside the UK).

2. Write Your IELTS/OET Exam with Band 7.0 minimum. Anything below please consider Care Assistant Role very important.

3. Go for your CBT test. This is a computer based test. When you are done with the CBT and for you to pass the eligibility test, you will need to add all these documents all together.
_*Note: Most of these things they will test you on are already on the UK NMC website*_ That's all the nursing standards so learn them it will help you in your mock test.

4. Get Verified by the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC), UK. To do this, you're going need your School Transcript, Doctor Certificate - After uploading all your documents, you will need a Doctor Certificate and this can be downloaded on the NMC website. Then take this form to your Doctor in your country to fill, signed and stamped. These three things are to be sent directly to NMC UK via email.

5. You have to also do a verification on your Certificate Locally like Nigeria is N70,000 other countries have their own charges. All these will show that you are able and fit to take up the role of a nurse.
Then you will receive your decision letter.

The following will be done when you finally get into the UK via your employer

1. Write your Competence Test
2. Write the OSCE Test.
3. Register with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC), UK.
4. Find a Nursing Job if you are already in the UK. But if you apply from outside the UK, your employer will sponsor you with *COS* meaning they'll pay for all your expenses including flight ticket but you'll be responsible for any Dependents following you to the UK.
