JAMB ANNOUNCES MINIMUM ADMISSIBLE SCORE FOR THE 2026 UTME

The 2026 Policy Meeting has approved the following minimum tolerable admission scores:

📍Universities: 150✅

📍Colleges of Nursing: 150 ✅

📍Polytechnics,Monotechnics, - 100 ✅

(except Nd agric and non technilogy courses which doesnt require utme)

📍College of Education no longer needs to write UTME

- The minimum age for admission into Tertiary Institutions this year (2026/2027 session) is sixteen (16) years

JAMB POLICY MEETING UPDATE

JAMB INTRODUCES NEW COMMUNICATION CHANNEL FOR CANDIDATES AND INSTITUTIONS 🚨

At the ongoing 2026 Policy Meeting, JAMB announced a new Admission Notification/Communication Module on CAPS.

The feature was introduced after some candidates admitted in the 2025 admission exercise failed to accept their admission offers.

With this update, institutions can now communicate directly with candidates through SMS, share important admission updates, and keep proper records of all communications.

The feature will be available to Admission Officers under the “Candidate Communication” menu on CAPS.

This is expected to make the admission process smoother and reduce cases of missed admissions.

2026 WAEC CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL ALTERNATIVE A

Dear School,

We are pleased to inform you that registration is now open for the InterswitchSPAK National Science Competition 8.0.

InterswitchSPAK is a pan-African science competition that identifies, empowers, and rewards outstanding secondary school students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Eligibility

Open to SS2 Science students
Ages 14–17 years
Public and private secondary schools across Nigeria
Registration and participation are FREE

Registration Options (New for 8.0)

For the first time, InterswitchSPAK introduces a two-way registration system:

1. School-Dependent Registration

Schools may register a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 SS2 science students
Mixed schools must register at least 2 female students
2. Private Registration

Parents/guardians may register students individually. This option is designed for home-schooled students or students whose schools are unable or unwilling to participate.
Subject Areas

Students will be assessed in:
Physics | Chemistry | Biology | Mathematics | General Science

Prizes

1st Prize: ₦15,000,000 (paid over 5 years)
2nd Prize: ₦10,000,000 (paid over 5 years)
3rd Prize: ₦5,000,000 (paid over 5 years)
Cash prizes for 4th–9th finalists: ₦500,000 each
Teachers of top-performing students (1st to 3rd) also receive cash prizes of ₦200,000 each and ₦50,000 each for 4th to 9th position students’ teachers

RE: WASSCE (SC) 2026 -UPLOAD OF CASS 1 & 2, AND REGISTRATION OF ENTRIES
