𝘾𝘼𝙐𝙎𝙀𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙍𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝘿𝙄𝙁𝙁I𝘾𝙐𝙇𝙏𝙄𝙀𝙎 𝙄𝙉 𝘾𝙃𝙄𝙇𝘿𝙍𝙀𝙉

As a parent, have you tried all you can to make sure your child performs excellently in school?
Or as a teacher, have you given your best, yet some pupils still struggle to learn. some even seem too slow to understand what is being taught?

Learning difficulties in children are challenges that affect the way a child’s brain receives, processes, stores, and analyzes information.

Below are some of the common causes of learning difficulties in children:

1. 𝙃Á𝙏𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝘾𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙎 𝙏𝙀𝘼𝘾𝙃𝙀𝙍
Sometimes, children dislike their class teacher because they feel the teacher dislikes them.
This resentment often extends to classroom activities and negatively affects their academic performance.

2. 𝘿𝙊𝙈𝙀𝙎𝙏𝙄𝘾 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝘽𝙇𝙀𝙈𝙎
Lack of concentration in class can be caused by issues faced at home — such as parental conflict, domestic vi0lènce, maltreatment, abúse.
A troubled home often leads to a distracted mind.

3. 𝘼𝘽𝙎𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙀 𝙁𝙍𝙊𝙈 𝙎𝘾𝙃𝙊𝙊𝙇
A pupil who is frequently absent from school misses important lessons, making it difficult to catch up or understand subsequent topics.

4. 𝙃𝘼𝙏𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝘼 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙄𝘾𝙐𝙇𝘼𝙍 𝙎𝙐𝘽𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏
It’s almost impossible for a student to excel in a subject they do not like or value.
Interest plays a key role in motivation and learning speed.

5. 𝙋𝙃𝙔𝙎𝙄𝘾𝘼𝙇 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙀𝙉𝙂𝙀𝙎
Hearing or sight impairments can greatly affect a child’s ability to read, write, and understand lessons — leading to frustration and poor academic results.

A bull!ed child develops fear and anxiety toward school.
This silent trauma affects focus, confidence, and willingness to participate in class.

A child who often arrives late misses early lessons and begins the day unsettled, which hinders concentration and understanding.

In some cases, a child’s bráin may not be fully developed to support normal learning processes.
Such conditions require special attention and professional support.

10. 𝙂𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙏𝙄𝘾 𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙄𝙏𝙎
Just as intelligence can be inherited, learning difficulties can also run in families.
Genes sometimes play a significant role in how a child learns and processes information.

11. 𝙋𝙊𝙊𝙍 𝙉𝙐𝙏𝙍𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉
Certain nutrients are vital for brain development.
Poor nutrition at an early age can affect memory, concentration, and overall learning ability.

12. 𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙀 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝙄𝙉 𝙀𝙓𝙏𝙍𝘼-𝘾𝙐𝙍𝙍𝙄𝘾𝙐𝙇𝘼𝙍 𝘼𝘾𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙀𝙎
Some children may show more passion for sports, social activities, or money-making ventures.
While these interests are not bad, they can distract from academics if not well-balanced.

Understanding the root causes of learning difficulties helps parents and teachers respond with empathy and strategy not frustration.
Every child learns differently; with patience, support, and the right environment, every child can learn.

Gradual progress is better than no progress.
