JAMB has said that there will be no more double admission.

Meaning, If you accepted a course Last year, you won't be eligible for another JAMB admission this year, except you show proof of your withdrawal from your previous course.

All students are strongly advised to complete their course registration without delay, as no additional extension is likely to be approved.

REVISED PRICES FOR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR, EFFECTIVE THURSDAY, 1ST JANUARY 2026.

The Senate of the University of Calabar has approved the appointment of new Deputy Vice-Chancellors following deliberations at its meeting today.
Prof. Ekaette Enang has been elected as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), while Prof. Egrinya Eneji has been elected as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Linkages and Collaboration).
The newly elected officers will take over from Prof. Tony Eyang and Prof. Okafor respectively.

Following the declaration of Christmas break, The University of Calabar
Management informs students in Halls 4, 8, and 9 to vacate the premises by 4:00pm on Friday, 19th December 2025, for renovation purposes...
Students are expected to fully comply and remove all belongings, as the University will not be responsible for items left behind...

The University of Calabar has banned students and staff from walking through green areas on campus, to restore and maintain the campus' beauty and environmental quality.
Those found violating the directive will face sanctions, and are advised to use designated walkways instead...

SCHOOL FEES PAYMENT BEGINS
Payment of school fees has commenced for both Freshers and returning students for the new academic session.

There was no increment in school fees, and the school fees portal is currently active for payment.

For Freshers, you can only pay your school fees after you must have completed your online screening and your school fees must be 100% paid, while Returning Students can pay 60% of the school fees for first semester and 40% in second semester.

If you've been admitted on the JAMB portal and you've also printed your admission letter, but you're still yet to be admitted on the UNICAL portal for weeks or days now, relax, you're not the only one in this situation. UNICAL is yet to upload your name on their portal, so you have no option but to keep checking the portal.

Also, there's nothing that can be done to fasten the process; you just have to wait patiently for your name to be uploaded on their portal.

NOTE:You must have printed your JAMB admission letter before your name can be uploaded on their portal.

The University of Calabar Management has released new resolutions to address issues with 200-level students in Medicine & Surgery and Nursing Science.

Affected students can now check the list of screened-out students online, and a dedicated transfer platform will be activated today to enable seamless transfers into available departments within two weeks.
