A child doesn't need a teacher who is afraid of disappointing them. Sometimes, they need a teacher brave enough to tell them the truth.

Some teachers are afraid to correct students because they don't want to be called ā€˜too strict.

Has modern education confused kindness with permissiveness?
A teacher can be:
warm without being weak,
understanding without excusing everything,
respectful without surrendering authority,
firm without humiliating a child.
