Pluto: Planet or not?
Pluto is no longer considered a planet by most astronomers. In 2006, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) redefined the term "planet" and reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet.
According to the new definition, a planet is a celestial body that:
1. Is in orbit around the Sun.
2. Has sufficient mass to assume a hydrostatic equilibrium shape (i.e., it is nearly round in shape).
3. Has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit.
Pluto does not meet the third criterion, as its orbit overlaps with that of other objects in the Kuiper Belt, a region of icy bodies beyond Neptune. Instead, Pluto is classified as a dwarf planet, a new category of objects created by the IAU.
It's worth noting that there is still some debate among astronomers about the IAU definition, and some argue that Pluto should still be considered a planet. However, the IAU definition is currently the most widely accepted one in the scientific community.

Gifted Pen.
Raji AbdulLateef, a Primary 4 pupil of Tolabat Private Schools, has just been captured gifted with drawing.
He was discovered by the Director during the break between the school hour and the lesson period today.
The little chap was engrossed in this valid occupation that he was not aware of the exit of other pupils for Salaatul Asri.
When the Director approached him to ask him why he remained behind when others have gone downstairs for salaah, he was surprised to see what the boy was doing.
This is actually not a miracle or lucky gift, his class teacher, Mr Mayegun has been captured several times drilling his pupils on drawing.
Like master like learners is just the best description of AbdulLateef and his class teacher.
The School has decided to help build his skill to the maximum.
May Allah bless the little boy and make him great.
