Whether a 'Real' or 'Perceived' situation, how do you react when you are intentionally humiliated, confronted or taunted?

Do you stick with your mindset and emotions to retaliate? Or, do you embrace decorum to master your emotions, stay in control and remain graceful? Your choice has a respective destructive or constructive rippling effect.

I recommend you embrace decorum and apply the 'IDUS' method:
I- Ignore it
D- Deflect it
U- Use humour
S- Smile

How do you 'deflect it' you may ask? Well, for instance;
Smile and change the subject.
Walk across the room to another group of people applying some humour
Smile and draw someone else into conversation
Ignore with skill and excuse yourself to the loo
Apply some humour and move away standing behind someone else to put yourself out of view

If the person confronting you gets physical someone else will intervene especially when you make concerted effort to remain in control and avoid being confronted.

This is etiquette.
