The Holy Spirit Makes the Difference

“And the Spirit of LORD will come upon thee, and thou shall prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man” (1 Samuel 10:6)

The importance of the Holy Spirit’s ministry in the Church can never be over emphasized. Jesus and the Father are in Heaven but the Holy Spirit is with us here, and He reveals the Father and Jesus to us. You can’t live an effective Christian life except through the Holy Spirit. No wonder the Lord Jesus commanded His disciples to remain in Jerusalem until they were endued with the power of the Spirit (Acts 1:4). They needed the power of the Holy Ghost to be effective witnesses of the Gospel of Christ.

The apostle Peter, who in timidity and fear, denied Jesus before a young girl, became so bold after he had received the Spirit. When the opportunity came to testify about Christ, he boldly preached the Word and won about three thousand souls to Christ at once: “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” (Acts 2:41). The Holy Spirit made the difference in his life!

The same Holy Spirit is all you need for a successful and fruitful journey in your walk with God and through life! He’ll make the difference in your life if you’ll learn to recognize Him and walk with Him! He’ll take you all the way, and become to you what you need Him to be!

You Can Make That Change!

“Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your life” (Galatians 6:5 MSG).

Have you heard some people make statements like, “If God didn’t want that thing to happen, why did He let it happen?” You hear this from those who try to make God responsible for what is actually their responsibility. These folks are unaware that the authority to change things in the earth doesn’t rest with God, as He’s delegated that authority to us – His children. We have the responsibility to change things when the circumstances of our lives don’t line up with the provisions of the gospel of Christ.

In Mark 9:23, Jesus said, “…all things are possible to him that believeth.” So the big question is: Do you believe? If you do, then what do you believe? If you believe God’s Word and put it to work in your life, then anything is possible unto you. You shouldn’t wait for God to alter your circumstances; you’re to make that change! By your faith, you can be what you want to be, change what you want to change, and achieve what you want to achieve!

Learn to take up your responsibility, for you’ve been imbued with the ability to affect changes!

You’re a Life Giver

“And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45).

The Bible says the first man Adam was made a living soul. The last Adam, Jesus Christ, was made a quickening spirit; that means a life giving spirit. As a Christian, you were not born after the first Adam, rather, you were born after the last Adam, who is a life-giver, and thus, you’ve also become a life-giving spirit.

The Bible says, “…Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27); that means there’s hope for the world because of you! Even if you were the only Christian in your city, because of you, there’s hope for that city, for you can give life to it.

Remember, when you were born again, you did not just receive life, you became a dispenser or distributor of divine verities. The life of God in your spirit has made you a life-giving spirit. See yourself in this light; you’re a dispenser of blessings, so go ahead and bless your world! Hallelujah!
God bless you

Take Care of Your Physical Body

You’re not just a body; you’re a spirit. Your physical body is your house. 1 Corinthians 6:20 says, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” That means your body belongs to God; He has bought it with the blood of Jesus.

Although your body belongs to God, He has made you its caretaker. Therefore, if you’re ever confronted by sickness or disease in your body, it’s your responsibility to do something about it!

God has already done what He needs to do about your physical health; He’s already provided healing for you, and nothing stops you from living in divine health. Matthew 8:17 says, “…Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” So, you ought to be healthy and strong!

Learn to keep to your body healthy and strong using the Word, for it is medicine to your flesh. (Proverbs 4:22) Hallelujah!

A New Type of Man

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

A Christian is not someone who turned a new leaf or changed from living the bad life to a good life. No! It’s greater than that; the day you received Christ into your life, you became a new creation; you received newness of life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…” he’s not going to be, he is! It’s a present-hour reality!

The term ‘new creature’ connotes ‘a new species of being.’ It’s not merely referring to a new life that has just begun, but also to newness in type! The new creation is a new type of man; he belongs to a new race, one that never existed before – the superman in Christ!

Jesus is the first among this class of supermen. He is called the second Adam, and the Bible says we all have been born according to the similitude of the second Adam; meaning we’re like Him. This new type of man is not subject to satan, sin, sickness or the adverse circumstances of this world; he was born a superior being!

You are a new creation now, brace up to this truth and begin to walk in this newness of life!

Newness of Life

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).

The man who’s born again has received newness of life, in essence, he’s a new creature. Though his physical body remains the same, his spirit, which is the real man is born anew.

The term, ‘newness of life’ is from a Greek word that connotes ‘new in quality!’ It’s an expression that describes a different kind of life; one that’s different in type and quality from the human life. This new life is higher and different in quality from the human life because it has its origin in God.

This is why the Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul in our opening verse admonishes to walk in the newness of life; He wants you to walk with the consciousness that you’ve received a new life. This new life is called Zoë, it’s the very life that makes God who He is; it’s the essence of divinity.

That’s the life that now flows in every fibre of your being. Walking in this consciousness is what will keep sickness, disease, poverty and death permanently away from you. Hallelujah!

The Holy Spirit and You

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever” (John 14:16).

When Jesus said, I will pray the Father and He shall give you another Comforter, He was talking about the Holy Spirit. Do you know that the Holy Spirit is the key to living a life of true and lasting success, victory and prosperity in the world today? He is your competitive advantage!

If your life is going to be full of joy and success, constantly moving from one level of glory to another, then you must be in constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He is the One who will show you what’s yours and help you lay hold of it. Also, He will show you a more excellent way of getting things done in your life, such that you will never be uncertain or insecure about the future.

No matter what you’re involved in; you must do it by the power of the Holy Spirit. Until you’re totally yielded and submissive to the Holy Spirit, you can’t experience the glory of God in your life. Get acquainted with the Holy Spirit today, you’ll be amazed at all the beauty, joy and gladness He’ll bring into your life. Hallelujah!

Seek Kingdom Expansion

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

The most important thing to every child of God ought to be soul winning and Kingdom expansion. Matthew 6:33 enjoins that you seek first the Kingdom of God, and its expansion, and everything else will be added unto you.

As God’s people we ought to recognize that the responsibility of telling others about the Gospel of Christ’s salvation has been entrusted to us (2 Corinthians 5:18), and we must do the work of Him that sent us while it is day.

God’s vision is that the knowledge of His Word fills the earth as the waters cover the sea, and He’s counting on us for that. True success comes when you understand God’s vision and align yourself with it.

So, no matter what your vocation is, your primary objective should be to win souls into God’s Kingdom, and be vitally involved in sponsoring the Gospel around the world through your giving!
