The Academy of Medical Sciences, Nigeria celebrates one of our own.

Our Founding Board of Trustees member, Professor Oladapo Ashiru, FAMedS, was seen at the Board Meeting of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) in London.

The meeting held in London during the Annual Conference of the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) from July 4 - 8, 2026.

Professor Ashiru, seated 1st left, currently serves as the Secretary-General of IFFS. He is also the first Black person to hold this position, and was re-elected in 2025.

We congratulate him on this global representation and for flying the Nigerian flag high in reproductive medicine.
