❤️ Why Did Jehovah Wait So Long to Restore Perfect Life?

After Adam and Eve sinned, Jehovah had the power to restore humans to perfection immediately. So why did he allow thousands of years to pass?

Because the issue was much bigger than simply removing sin.

In Eden, Satan challenged Jehovah’s way of ruling and suggested that humans could live successfully without God’s guidance. Jehovah allowed time for the results of that claim to become clear.

Human history has shown the painful consequences of independence from God—war, suffering, injustice, sickness, aging, and death. Yet Jehovah never abandoned mankind.

At the right time, he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to provide the ransom. Jesus’ perfect human life corresponded to what Adam had lost. Through that sacrifice, Jehovah provided the legal basis for restoring obedient humans to perfect life. ❤️

Why the long wait?

Because Jehovah wanted to settle the issue completely and permanently, while also giving people time to learn about him, develop faith, and choose his rulership.

And Jehovah’s patience has benefited us. As 2 Peter 3:9 says, he is patient because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed.

So when we ask, “Why hasn’t Jehovah restored everything yet?”, we can remember:

Jehovah has not forgotten humanity. He is patiently carrying out his purpose.

The day is coming when Revelation 21:4 will be fulfilled: death, mourning, crying, and pain will be no more. 🌍❤️

Jehovah could have acted immediately, but his patience is helping settle the issues raised in Eden forever. And when his purpose is complete, no one will ever have reason to question his rulership again. 🙏🏽📖
