SIR, WHAT IS THE NEXT THING TO DO AFTER SEEING MY UTME RESULT..... Have gotten numerous massages from my Students on what to do after seeing their UTME results| Especially the first timers| Here are answers to your questions ❓ 👇 Don't Forget to give us a Follow as you read.... Jamb Mentor ◀️ 🤝
WHAT ALL JAMBITES SHOULD DO AFTER SEEING THEIR UTME RESULTS....
1. Evaluate Your Score and Choice of Institution
Compare Score with Cut-off Marks: Determine if your score meets the minimum requirement for your chosen university, polytechnic, or college of education.
Check Departmental Cut-off: Research previous year's cut-off marks for your specific course (e.g., Medicine, Law, Engineering) to gauge your chances.
Decide on Change of Institution/Course: If your score is low, use the JAMB change of course/institution form on the portal to select a school or course with a lower requirement to increase your chances.
2. Upload O'Level Results (Mandatory)
If you used "Awaiting Result," you must visit an accredited CBT center or JAMB office to upload your WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results to the JAMB portal.
Warning: Failure to upload your O'level result will result in non-consideration for admission, regardless of your high JAMB score.
3. Monitor JAMB CAPS
Regularly log in to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) at efacility.jamb.gov.ng to check your admission status, which will read "Admission in Progress" or "Offered".
Accept or Reject Admission: If offered admission, you must accept it on CAPS within the stipulated time, or it may be withdrawn.
4. Prepare for Post-UTME Screening
Register for Post-UTME: Keep an eye on school websites for the sale of Post-UTME screening forms (usually between June and August).
Prepare for Exam/Screening: Some schools conduct written exams, while others use online screening (based on O'level and JAMB scores). Start studying using past questions for your chosen institution.

Risk of choking or aspiration
After an accident, a person may be in shock or have reduced alertness. Drinking water could make it go into the lungs instead of the stomach, which is very dangerous.
2. Possible internal injuries
The victim may have internal bleeding or stomach/abdominal injuries. Drinking water can worsen these injuries or cause vomiting.
3. Emergency surgery may be needed
If surgery is required, the stomach must be empty. Drinking water increases the risk of serious complications during anesthesia.
4. Spinal or head injury concerns
Accidents can involve unseen head or neck injuries. Moving the person to drink or swallowing can increase risk.
5. Thirst can be a sign of shock
Feeling very thirsty is common in shock due to blood loss. Water doesn’t treat shock—urgent medical care does.
