Flat scarf → Infinity scarf

lat scarf → infinity scarf ✨

Once the knitting is done, this is my favorite way to finish an English rib scarf:
✔️ take it off the machine
✔️ clean up the edges
✔️ join the ends to make an infinity scarf

Same scarf. Totally different wearability.

This is a quick clip from my full YouTube video where I show the entire process step by step — from knitting off to steam blocking to joining the edges neatly.

One scarf. Three moods.

This style English rib scarf is knit with vertical rib columns that fall naturally with the body — which means it styles itself if you let it.

I wear it differently depending on where I’m going:
a relaxed double loop for everyday,
a clean single loop for work,
and a soft drape over the shoulders when I want something more romantic.

Knitwear doesn’t need to be complicated.
Sometimes, it’s about letting the fabric do the work. 🤍

Machine Knitting Tip I Learned the Hard Way

PSA for machine knitters: remove your weights before knitting off 😭

I skipped this once… and let’s just say gravity won. Very painful lesson.

Take the weights off, knit across gently, and let the fabric drop naturally.

Learn from my mistake — not your toes.

When Your Carriages Disconnects (Quick Fix)
I

If your carriage disconnects while you’re knitting — pause, don’t panic.

This is a common issue, and the key is fixing the root cause, not forcing the machine.

In this clip, I walk through how to safely remove the carriage, reset the ribber position, and realign the pins so your carriages reconnect properly.

Take your time, move slowly, and let the machine guide you.

This clip is from my full English rib stitch tutorial on YouTube, where I show the complete process step by step.

The Fastest Way to Weave In Yarn Tails

When it’s time to finish a project, I always reach for a double-eye transfer needle.

It’s slim, slides easily through the fabric, and makes weaving in yarn tails quick and clean.

I weave forward in one direction, then back again to lock the tail in place — no bulk, no pulling.

A yarn needle works too, but this method is my go-to when I want a neat finish.

Small finishing details make a big difference.

Quick machine knitting trick that saves me so many mistakes 🧶✨

Before knitting with yarn, I run the empty carriage across the bed to check that all needles snap back to B position.

In this clip, a few didn’t move — because my ribber holding cams were still set to “hold.”

This tiny step catches issues before they become dropped stitches, jams, or tension problems.

Sewing Knitwear

Sewing knit fabric doesn’t have to be stressful — it’s all about the right setup 🧵✨

For my machine-knit pieces, I use a zigzag stitch with:
• Width: 7
• Length: 4
• Jersey ballpoint needle (so it glides between the fibers instead of piercing them)

I also sew on the lowest speed for full control. Smooth seams every time 💛
