Another day to learn something new!

Here are 3 facts about learning that will stop you mid-scroll.

Swipe to see if you knew any of them.

On April 16th, our team visited two partner schools in Lagos, Nigeria, and the energy in those classrooms reminded us exactly why we do this. We had lots of fun, engaged with students, inspiring teachers, and the relishing the simple joy of putting books in young hands, and minds.

One of the boys we met was David. David wants to be a footballer. According to him, he loves the book club because he loves reading, and he knows that school is not a scam, as it is popularly misconceived.

This is the change we envisioned when we started the club, now a reality — breaking the “school na scam” mentality, one community, child, and school at a time.

Do you want the Giddy2School Literacy Club at your school or community, or would you like to volunteer to bring the gift of books to more children?

Our 2025 Annual Report is live. Here’s some of what happened. 🧵

1/ In 2025, didn’t just run programs. We built learning ecosystems. Across 6 Nigerian zones + Uganda, Kenya, Ghana & Cameroon — 646+ lives directly touched.

2/ The Literacy Club reached 472 students across 10 schools in Nigeria & Uganda. Kids who struggled to read are now reading aloud to their peers. That’s the shift.

3/ Our Global Leadership Fellowship received 322 applications — a 20.1% year-on-year increase. Young people from Kano to Lagos, to Uyo to Malawi are choosing to invest in themselves to lead change and sustainable development in their communities.

4/ Project Kishi. A viral video of children with limited career dreams became our call to action. We went in. We stayed. Post-intervention: those same kids now say, ‘I want to be a doctor. An engineer. A teacher.’

5/ In 2025, we received:
🏆 Montessori Global STAR Endorsement Award
🏆 Lifelong Learning Award
📰 First peer-reviewed publication in Taylor & Francis

6/ We also learned hard lessons — about lean models, nonprofit programs, and the patience real partnerships require. We wrote them all down, honestly, in the report.

7/ And we’re building GiddyED AI — adaptive learning pathways for low-resource environments. Because 20.6 million children in Nigeria alone deserve better.

To every person who showed up for these children and youths in 2025 — thank you.
To the incredible Giddy2School team, super humans, all of you doing the impossible – thank you.
To our partners, stakeholders, and board members, you make this mission worth every ride–thank you.

And now, they say, one good run deserves many more.

Happy World Book Day!

A learner in our Reading & Literacy Club once said, “I have never left my community, but through books, I have traveled the world.”

That’s the magic of reading.

Books open doors our children may not physically walk through yet—introducing them to new places, new ideas, and endless possibilities.

At Giddy2School Nigeria, we’ve watched children grow in confidence, express themselves boldly, and begin to dream beyond their environment. What starts as turning pages becomes finding their voice, shaping their minds, and inspiring their future.

Through our Reading & Literacy Club, over 500+ children have been impacted—each one discovering that books are more than stories; they are tools for growth, exposure, and transformation.

Now, we’re expanding to reach even more children, and you can be part of this journey.

Because when you give a child a book, you give them a world.

Most people think education means sitting in a classroom. But real education is so much more than that. It's the ability to learn, to think, to adapt, and to solve problems that matter.

Giddy2School's mission toward quality education is a reminder that every young person, regardless of where the communities they come from or what society says deserves learning that truly changes their life.

Swipe through to see what education really means for us at Giddy2School and why we show up every single day for young people.
