What do you understand by Project Based Learning (PBL)?
PBL is a teaching method that encourages students to develop their knowledge and skills through engaging and meaningful projects they may face in the real world.
It is not just a way of learning but a way of working together and students learn to take responsibility for their own learning.
The reasons below make PBL very beneficial and schools should take a cue from this:
1. There is collaboration among students
2. It builds up students curiousity thereby forming a new love of learning
3. The students' self confidence are boosted.
You can add the other benefits PBL will add to the teaching-learning process in the comment section.

The 3 part cards are designed for guided teaching, led by a teacher, tutor or parent to introduce the new vocabulary or objects.
So below are steps we can use in presenting the 3 Part cards:
1. Put the cards in a basket and place on the shelf, limit the amount to 4-6 cards to start with so the child doesn’t get overwhelmed.
2. Roll out a mat and then bring the cards to the mat.
3. Show the child the cards and start talking about them, ask questions about what is on the cards:
Have you seen…
Do you remember when we tried…
What do you think it smells/tastes/feels like…
4. When you are ready, take the control cards and from LEFT to RIGHT. Place one card down at a time and say
“This is… “
“Can you say…?”
Sometimes the child won’t repeat the word, that is OK for now.
5. With the cards still laid out say:
“Show me…”
This is to check the child's comprehension and memory.
Use positive reinforcement when they get it right, if they get it wrong then go through the presentation again with the cards they are getting stuck on.
Do not move on from this stage until the child knows all the cards.
