Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway (Phase One)
The first phase of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is a 47.47 kilometer stretch of the highway that runs from Lagos. Construction on the first phase began in March 2024 and is expected to be completed by May 2025.
The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is a 700 kilometer project that will connect nine states and improve connectivity and economic activity along Nigeria's coastline.
The highway will also have multiple spurs that connect major cities and towns, including a spur that connects the Ogoja-axis of the trans Sahara trade route.
The highway is expected to cost N4 billion per kilometer and be completed in eight years. The project is being undertaken by Hitech Construction Company under a EPC+F model.

Campus will reopen on Sunday, February 6, pending restoration of power.

Due to weather conditions, the CBU campus and downtown Prince Street location are closed for the day. Regularly scheduled classes will resume Monday, February 7.

The province of British Columbia has relaunched it's "...Is Not Yes" campaign to raise awareness about preventing sexualized violence, consent and available supports for post-secondary students and employees.
“Students deserve safe campuses, and it is our collective responsibility to educate everyone about consent," said Anne Kang, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Training in a press release on Jan. 27.
"This campaign encourages the necessary conversations about consent – what consent is, what it looks like and the vital role it has in preventing and responding to acts of sexualized violence."

This Valentine’s Day, do something nice for your fellow classmate!

Student engagement officer Nikila Prodduk is coordinating care packages at CMTN to help spread the love during this special holiday.
Just write a short letter to a friend and Nikila will have it delivered to them alongside a self-love care package that you both get to receive.
To arrange this, send your letter and who you want to receive this package to Nikila at [email protected] before Tuesday, Feb. 8.
Nikila will email out details for pickup on Feb. 14 to everyone who has signed up.
