Waiting to publish one paper before starting another is a deliberate way of delaying yourself, as you can send papers together in bulk and publish them all at once. Meanwhile, target fast Q1/Q2 journals with high impact factors alone. Are you confused because you have been facing challenges in publishing in a Q1/Q2 open-access Scopus-indexed journal? I got you covered. If I tell you your paper will be published, believe me with all sense of integrity, I will publish it. And when I tell you to adjust your topic or anything in your area of interest, please do it and thank me later. I don't make mouths, I produce verifiable results.

Many still don't understand how referencing research works. It is not the quantity of references you cited that matters, but how well they align with your research. Although, you should have at least a minimum reference list of 25 and above for a research paper and it is expected to be recent except for theories. So it is not about the quantity but the quality of the references you cited. Additionally, for Q1 and Q2 cite more Scopus and Web of Science-related references to your work. Finally, all your in-text citations must also be in the reference list. This is a practical explanation of how to ensure good citations and not just word of mouth.

Technological innovation and carbon dioxide emissions in Nigeria using an EKC STIRPAT VECM framework with artificial neural network robustness - Discover Environment Developing economies such as Nigeria face mounting pressure to sustain economic growth while reducing carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions, yet empirical evidence on whether technological innovation can meaningfully decouple growth from emissions in African contexts remains limited. This study addresses...
I have learnt in life that it is more honourable to focus on producing verifiable results which speak volumes. Focus on building results and shun side distractions or noise. Don't respond to noise but focus on the building.
It is wisdom to keep quiet and let your results do the talking🧏
A man of wisdom is a man with few words. Let your decision always be straightforward, or at times choose not to reply if you notice the fellow you are dealing with doesn't know the value of what they want. You need to understand that not everyone knows the true value of what they want. For example, someone who wants to publish with Scopus Q1/Q2 having a mentality of paying the same amount for local journal service, you just need to ignore such a fellow immediately without replying further. It is pure wisdom.
it is a crucial rule of thumb in System GMM (Generalized Method of Moments) estimation that the number of countries (or cross-sectional units) should be greater than the number of instruments to avoid instrument proliferation. Please take note of this.

I must be sincere that you must have enough experience before you can publish in Q1/Q2 Scopus-indexed journals. I didn't start it in a day, either. It is a result of accumulated experience and consistency.
Well, if you think it is a joke, you can give it a try and let us see how far😂😂😂.
Before you commence your research work, be sure your topic is novel, suitable with the journal scope, attractive to the editor and reviewers and ensure you have a strong motivation for your study. Then ensure that all the secondary dataset variables in your study are verifiable. This means that once the journal searches for any of your variables, they can also retrieve the dataset to replicate the same analysis. All these are very necessary. Lastly, always make it clear if any interpolation is done to fill the missing values within the dataset. Acknowledge all transformations done and make it clear to the editor that final data can be made available upon reasonable requests. Then your literature search and putting together a strong literature review with a justifiable argument that will lead to your hypotheses development is another important phase before going into the methodology. However, if your research is a public health study this usually takes another dimension because a hypothesis is not needed (Usual style of public health journal: Abstract-Introduction-materials & methods-Results-Discussion and some journals might ask you to add conclusion and policy implications during the peer review of your public health study). Ensure all citations within the in-text are also listed in the reference list. Let me also add that you ensure all your cited references are recent, Web of Science & Scopus citations and relevant to your studies to enhance your research quality. Additionally, before you submit your manuscript for publication do another general review, position yourself like a reviewer for two to three days and critique your work and see how you can still make it better. Check all grammatical errors and formatting be sure everything is taken care of and then you can go ahead to submit your manuscript. Acknowledge all limitations in your study.

One of the things Scopus journals frowned at is overstatement. What is overstatement? This means interpreting something with a moderate or modest impact as having a strong or huge impact. Secondly, you must strongly acknowledge some limitations, such as when your sample size is small and the key performance index results are weak. These are very key in scientific research. You should know at this level that when I am talking of research I can't be reasoning with Google Scholar or CrossRef or whatever. I am simply talking of Scopus-indexed journals (Q1/Q2) because I don't settle for less in research. So, acknowledging limitations is key in publishing in Scopus.
