A 13-year-old boy has tragically lost his life after being struck by lightning in Imo State.
According to reports, young Ifeanyi was playing football at school on Saturday when the rain suddenly began. Like the others on the field, he ran for shelter—but sadly, he didn’t make it in time.
In a heartbreaking account, his father said that at the exact moment the lightning struck, he felt a strange surge of electricity pass through his own body while at work. Moments later, he received a call from an unknown number informing him that his son had been struck.
Ifeanyi suffered severe burns from his chest down to his feet. He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, he was confirmed d**d.
Lightning strikes are extremely powerful, carrying between 100 million to 1 billion volts. In a split second, a life full of promise was gone.
