EKSU TO HOLD 2025/2026 MATRICULATION CEREMONY, FEBRUARY 6

This serves to inform all Freshmen that necessary arrangements have been concluded for the conduct of the 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony of the University, which is scheduled to hold as follows:

Date: Friday, 6th February, 2026.
Venue: University Main Auditorium
Time: 10.00 a.m.

Please note that it is highly essential for all freshmen to be matriculated or else the University will assume that those who fail to matriculate have withdrawn voluntarily from the Institution.

All candidates wishing to matriculate should take note of the following:

i. they are to collect their robes between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Thursday, 5th February, 2026 from their Faculty Officers. The robes should be returned in good condition unfailingly to the collection centre not later than 2.00 p.m. on Monday, 9th February, 2026.

ii. A fine of Five hundred naira (N500.00) per day will be charged on garments returned later than the stipulated date while damaged or lost robes will be paid for in full;

iii. each candidate will be required to show the original copy of his or her Letter of Admission and Evidence of Registration (screened and cleared) before collection of the Matriculation robe;

iv. they are also advised to be properly dressed in suits under the academic gowns in the case of men, while ladies should preferably wear their own robes over any reasonably long sleeve English dress;

v. Faculty Officers are to make the Matriculation digest before the ceremony available to students to read and endeavour to inform their guests to be on their seats latest by 9.00 a.m. on the day of the Ceremony. All fully-robed matriculating students must also be on their seats, ready for the Academic Procession by 9.30 a.m.

vi. Students are to sign the Matriculation Register immediately after the ceremony at their respective Faculty Offices and submit their Matriculation Oath.

FUTA ANNOUNCES COMBINED MATRICULATION CEREMONY

The combined matriculation for fresh undergraduate and Postgraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session holds on Thursday January 22, 2026 at the Obafemi Awolowo Auditorium, FUTA, from 9.am.

Affected students should liaise with appropriate officials of their schools for details of the programme including collection of Matriculation gown.

FULOKOJA FIXES 14TH MATRICULATION CEREMONY DATE, GIVES DIRECTIVES ON COLLECTION OF MATRICULATION GOWNS

This is to Inform all Fresh students of the 2025/2026 Academic session that the 14th Matriculation ceremony has been scheduled as follows:

Date: Friday, 30th January 2026.

Time: 4:00pm

Venue: University Auditorium, College of Health sciences Campuses, Lokoja.

2026 UTME Registration Begins January 26 – JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will begin on Monday, January 26, 2026.

The Board disclosed that UTME candidates will be registered before Direct Entry applicants, adding that the two exercises will be conducted on different dates.

JAMB also revealed that the sale of UTME application documents, including profile creation, will commence ahead of the registration exercise.

According to the examination body, the sale of UTME forms will run from Monday, January 19 to Wednesday, February 26, 2026, while the deadline for mock examination selection is Sunday, February 16, 2026.

The actual UTME registration will take place from Monday, January 26 to Saturday, February 28, 2026, at all approved Computer-Based Test centres Nationwide.

JAMB stated that the mock examination is scheduled for March 28, 2026, while the main UTME will hold between April 16 and April 25, 2026.

The sale of Direct Entry application forms and E-PIN vending will commence on Monday, March 2 and close on April 25, 2026.

The Board advised candidates to adhere strictly to the registration timelines and ensure that all processes are carried out only at approved CBT centres to avoid errors and invalid entries.

OOU 35TH CONVOCATION CEREMONIES COMMENCE ON THURSDAY, 22ND JANUARY

The Vice Chancellor, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Professor Ayodeji Agboola, on behalf of Council, Senate, Staff and Students invites members of the University community and the general public to the 35th Convocation Ceremonies for the 2024/2025 Academic session for the award of Bachelor Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Higher Degrees, and Conferment of Honorary Degreess. The Ceremonies are scheduled for Thursday, 22nd January, 2026 to Saturday, 31st January 2026 at the Main campus of the University, Ago-Iwoye.
