Pope Leo XIV met 97-year-old Cardinal Ernest Simoni, a priest sentenced to death, tortured, and imprisoned for celebrating Mass under communism.
He was offered freedom if he denied Christ.
He refused.
He spent 28 years in prison and hard labour for the faith.
Later, Pope Francis called him a living martyr and made him a Cardinal.
This month, he marked 70 years of priesthood.
Some men preach the Gospel.
Some men suffer for it.
Some are fighting for power, who have more followers. They mis the target.
