David was only a young shepherd when he arrived at Israel's battlefield carrying food for his brothers.

But what he heard shocked him.

For days, Goliath—the Philistine giant—had been challenging the entire army of Israel. Soldiers were terrified, and nobody dared to face him.

Then David heard the giant insulting the army and, more importantly, insulting the living God.

While everyone else saw a giant, David saw an enemy who could be defeated.

Instead, the old prophet looked directly at the king and told him the truth about his pride, his dishonoring of God, and the judgment that had already been written against him.

Then Daniel revealed the terrifying meaning of the message:

Belshazzar's kingdom had been weighed—and found wanting.
