Earlier today, myself and the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. (Alhaji) Fatai Adekunle Ayoola, alongside our private partners, Mr. Jubril Arogundade, Marketing Manager of GAC Motors; Mr. Uba Uwale, a foreign national, and other entourage were on an inspection tour to schools, youth centers and sporting facilities in the Local Government.
These ongoing projects include, Unity Primary School in Awodiora where a multi-million Naira football pitch has been built; reconstruction of Zumratul Primary School with sporting and ICT facilities; reconstruction of St. Mary’s Primary School, Abukuru with a sporting facility, ICT Centre of 40 computers and solar power; New Road Primary School with a sporting facility; and a vocational training centre to be built on the pipeline at the same location. These visit were for on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing projects to ensure quality and timely completion. However, it is hoped that the projects would be completed in no distant time.
Other personalities present at the inspection tour were Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Luqman Jimoh; Supervisory Councillor for Education & Library Services, Hon. Abdulhakeem Suleiman; Supervisory Councillor for Information, Strategy & Communications, Hon. Valiant Samson Idowu-Alaba; Supervisory Councillor for Environmental Services, Alhaji Ademola Ismaila; Supervisory Councillor for Budget, Planning & Statistics, Alhaji Sheriff Akinpelu; and Head of Department, Education & Library Services, Mrs Foluke Ogunyakin.
