With total submission to the will of Almighty God, we sadly announce the death of our beloved Great grandfather, grandfather, father, and a seasoned disciplinarian, Chief Pa Remi-Williams Emmanuel, APC Leader, Ifelodun LCDA, who passed passed away Earlier today, Wednesday 29th of November, 2023.

Burial arrangement will be announce soon.

May God grant the deceased eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

VOICE OF HOPE FOUNDATION PARTNERS AJEROMI-IFELODUN LOCAL GOVERNMENT EDUCATION AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE FREE MEDICAL SERVICES AND FOOD TO LESS PRIVILEGE

It was a moment full of joy and happiness to most families living around Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area as Education Secretary of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Education Authority partner Voice of Hope Foundation; a non-governmental organization to give free medical services and distribute food items as palliative to the aged, widows and less privileged today Friday, 18th of August, 2023.

The free medical services and distribution of the food items which was held at Christ The King Primary School, back of Ajeromi Police Station with nothing less than 2,500 residents that serves as beneficiaries of the programme.

In a short interview with the Education Secretary, Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Education Authority, Hon (Barr) Abiola Remi Williams Olanipekun, said that the initiative was aimed at giving life support to the less privileged people living around Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGEA.

In his words, "Health is Wealth and as you can see, this initiative is a Public Private Partnership (PPP), and as we are here today collaborating with the Voice of Hope Foundation in giving back to the community.

He went ahead to appreciate the entire Voice of Hope foundation team led by Pastor Mrs. Eno Morenike for this community service project.

Earlier today, myself and the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. (Alhaji) Fatai Adekunle Ayoola, alongside our private partners, Mr. Jubril Arogundade, Marketing Manager of GAC Motors; Mr. Uba Uwale, a foreign national, and other entourage were on an inspection tour to schools, youth centers and sporting facilities in the Local Government.

These ongoing projects include, Unity Primary School in Awodiora where a multi-million Naira football pitch has been built; reconstruction of Zumratul Primary School with sporting and ICT facilities; reconstruction of St. Mary’s Primary School, Abukuru with a sporting facility, ICT Centre of 40 computers and solar power; New Road Primary School with a sporting facility; and a vocational training centre to be built on the pipeline at the same location. These visit were for on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing projects to ensure quality and timely completion. However, it is hoped that the projects would be completed in no distant time.

Other personalities present at the inspection tour were Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Luqman Jimoh; Supervisory Councillor for Education & Library Services, Hon. Abdulhakeem Suleiman; Supervisory Councillor for Information, Strategy & Communications, Hon. Valiant Samson Idowu-Alaba; Supervisory Councillor for Environmental Services, Alhaji Ademola Ismaila; Supervisory Councillor for Budget, Planning & Statistics, Alhaji Sheriff Akinpelu; and Head of Department, Education & Library Services, Mrs Foluke Ogunyakin.

Let me assure you of my continued commitment towards the development of educational standard of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Education Authority.

2023 VALEDICTORY PROGRAMME WAS A GREAT SUCCESS AND FUN FILLED

To God be the glory. I am very grateful to the entire management team, teaching and non teaching staff of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Education Authority, stakeholders, political leaders, NGOs, and my lovely pupils for the success of 2023 Valedictory programme held at Unity School, Cardoso.

Worthy of mention are my amiable HOD Education and her colleagues, Mr. Ifeanyi JP and his team, All Head Teachers, NUT and NASU Ajeromi Ifelodun, parents, and other special guests that honoured our invitation with their presence.

To be honest, the 2023 Valedictory programme for Public Primary School Pupils in primary six (6) wouldn't have been possible if not for the cooperation and unwavering support received from the Local Government and LCDA Chairmen, House of Representatives member, House of Assembly members, Chairman Local Government Service Commission, C.E.O Lagferry, and my beloved staff who have been there from the beginning till the date of the event. Special thanks to you all, am very grateful.

REMI-WILLIAMS CELEBRATES ONE-DAY EDUCATION SECRETARY IN AJEROMI IFELODUN LOCAL GOVERNMENT EDUCATION AUTHORITY

Ms. Simbiat Olayinka Saliu, a 10-years old pupil of Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School, Achakpo, Ajegunle emerged as winner of the 1st Edition of One-Day Education Secretary of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Education Authority.

Ms. Simbiat won the 1st Edition of the one-day Education Secretary programme was an initiative of Hon. (Barr) Remi-Williams Abiola Olanipekun to encourage public school pupils to show more interest in their academic, leadership, and teamwork.

The initiative was birthed to celebrate educational excellence among our children and enhance their spelling, vocabulary, and public speaking abilities. It is believed that the programme would be sustained as a platform to spur other pupils to do more in their various academic exercise and groom them to choose the path of greater success in their educational pursuits.

Beyond the gifts presented to the winner, the organisers would also follow up on Simbiat's academic to ensure she acquires the right leadership skills and become a responsible citizen of Nigeria.
