Training Myth
It's a myth to assume we can by training magically transform anyone to become anything of which they do not already have the basic potential or talent to learn in that direction.
We can by training improve on a potential ability that's already present in an individual. But where the basic and natural potential to learn is lacking, very little can be achieved through training.
The reason why you can't train a monkey to speak the Yoruba Language is because a monkey lacks the natural ability to use words. We can by training help the monkey to certain extent, but not much can be achieved.
So also, if you lack the basic potential to learn music or dance for example, very little can be achieved by training to improve your skills in that line. It's important to identify your areas of natural strength or ability for training to be more helpful.
The exceptionally gifted, and the averagely gifted person can improve on their skills through training simply because they have one thing in common - the natural/basic ability to learn in that direction.
No individual is completely a product of training. Both nature (basic ability) and nurture (training) must mix for any meaningful improvement to be possible.
Growth in any direction of endeavour is easier and faster where the required potential or talent to learn already exists. Else, we'll waste huge resources and time on training and may achieve minimal results where the basic required ability is lacking.
