In this tale of Dan, Pal, and Dal, Dan starts as a boy and matures into a man, living alongside Pal, a cow, and Dal, a tree. Dan could not sleep in his room because he saw a rat. He was afraid of rats.
His mum took Dan to her room. She placed their cat in Dan's room to get the rat or be starved to death. Dan's father loves their pet but was angry with the cat when he saw it eating a dead rat. He was not aware that the cat has not been given food.

Dan used the cup in his room to drink water without washing it first. Dan got sick because the cup was infected by the rat. Always wash your utensils before use.

Whenever he found it difficult, he would solicit for his dad's help. Due to fact that he has the habit of always doing his assignments, his class teacher commended him. He also influenced two other students. The three of them took first position but the foolish student called Daniel who refused to join the reading group came last. Daniel was demoted.
