Meet Engr. Dr. Wasiu Adebayo Balogun

Engr. Dr. Wasiu Adebayo Balogun is a Senior Lecturer in Mechatronics Engineering at Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu, Nigeria. With a Ph.D. in Control and Mechatronics Engineering and over 25 years of experience, his expertise includes robotics, automation, IoT, artificial intelligence, control systems, smart agriculture, and renewable energy.

His research focuses on designing and controlling robotic and electromechanical systems for real-time monitoring and automation in agricultural, industrial, and environmental applications. He also specializes in crane system control, including motion control, anti-sway algorithms, and automation for improved industrial safety and efficiency.

Dr. Balogun is actively engaged in teaching, research supervision, and multidisciplinary collaborations, contributing to innovative solutions that integrate robotics, AI, IoT, and intelligent control systems to enhance productivity and sustainability.
