If you are a business owner looking to build an effective marketing plan. Then you must identify who your typical customers are.

PS: I talked about what a target market is in my previous post, go check it out

It would help you tailor your content and marketing to your audience, instead of talking to everyone.

โœ“ Analyze your products/services benefits

Take your time to write out all the features and benefits of your products. Try not to miss out a thing.

Using a sales and marketing strategist as an example ๐Ÿ‘‡

We show, guide or teach you some effective marketing strategies that can help you grow your sales revenue and business.

The benefit: Having a good working & effective marketing strategies for your business will ultimately help you reach your audience and make continuous sales.

So once you have your benefits listed, make a list of people who have a need for that benefits.

You can also extract some information from your old customers. Who are your they, and why do they buy from you?

Take note of the most characteristic and interests.

โœ“ Consider your audience psychographics

This is their characteristics and personal information like: lifestyle, behaviour, personality, values, etc

Determine how your product or service will fit into their lifestyle. How and when will/can they use the product? What features are most appealing to them? What media do they turn to for information?

All these information would help you create your buyer persona which I would be talking about in my next post (turn on post notification now)

Pro tip: Review your competitors to see who theyโ€™re targeting, find the loopholes and fix it.

โœ“ Evaluate your decision

Now that you've decided on a target market, consider some of these questions:

- Do I really understand what drives my target to make decisions?

- Can they afford my product/service?

- Will my target really benefit from my product/service? Will they see a need for it?

- Can I reach them with my message? Are they easily accessible?

PS: you can reach out to a wider audience through running ads. For more inquiries, send me a DM now.

The way you talk about yourself and your business can really impact your confidence and how your prospects see you.

Want to authentically talk about yourself and business without seeming to appear arrogant?

Do these ๐Ÿ‘‡

1. Make it clear how what you do adds value for others

Have a short but memorable sentence that expresses clearly what you can do, mostly on your bio and message to your audience so that if someone has a particular problem they know you can solve, they immediately think of you. You will be the 'go-to' person for that particular issue. Make it short, interesting and impactful.

2. Show them what you're good at

Have stories to tell about the successes and wins in your business. Grow your business and reputation with those things you're good at. Even though it is not relating to your business. Share it with your audience.

3. Be proud of what you do

If you aren't passionate about your work and are in any way embarrassed about it then when you are asked about your business or what you do you will totally lose it and that is not helping your self-esteem.

Even if you aren't in your ideal dream job yet, stay positive when talking about it. People are drawn to confident and happy people.

4. Make it hard to be forgotten

To some, networking and socialising is one of the hardest and most tedious requirements of raising their personal or business awareness. While to some it is an easy peasy.

However, once you have done all the hard work and managed to attract attention from your target market, make sure you give enough interesting information so that they will want to hear more from you.

5. Walk the talk.

Meet your potential client's expectations and demonstrate your abilities and expertise. If, say, your expertise is in how to boost up women confidence and beauty, you can't look ragged or shabby. If you're in the skincare business, your skin has to be sweet licking and glowing. You get the gist, right?

Be your own brand ambassador! Walk the talk!!

I made a post about HOW TO BE YOUR OWN BRAND AMBASSADOR (That post was loaded with tips, scroll down on my page and read)

What's your takeaway? resonates with you?

Building customer relationships is something every brand or business must do to succeed.

After all, without customer relationships, there are no sales; without sales, there is no business.

Building customers relationship shouldn't be all about the transaction, (buying and selling relationship)

How you create your relationship marketing matters. Because itโ€™s no longer all about customer acquisition, itโ€™s about customer retention. This is why you need to be on this trend "Customer Relationship"

So how do you build customer relationship?

1. Ensure your message is clear and consistent

Which is why itโ€™s important to ensure that the โ€œwho, what, and whyโ€ of what your company does, is clear from the start.

But, perhaps more importantly than that: your brand needs to be consistent across the various customer touch points.

So however your customers get in touch with you, make sure how you communicate with them must be consistent. Because if a business can't build a consistent identity, they will assume that your business (brand) itself isn't consistent, and therefore not reliable.

2. Get to know about your customers

You can't foster good customer service if you fail to understand your customers.

For you to understand your customers, you need to think like a salesperson, walk in their shoes, ask questions, brainstorm; how do they interact with customers to develop a relationship? In all these processes, you'll discover what triggers your customers of course with their habits and interests.

This would make it easier to communicate with them and deliver on your promise.

3. Educate and personalize your message

You donโ€™t only want to reach out to your customers when you have something to sell. Instead, keep them up to date on the latest happenings within your business or industry, send them special offers around the products or services theyโ€™re most interested in, and continue to educate them by being a source of valuable information.

These are just few out of many ways you can build customer relationship.

I made a post yesterday about using your content to attract your customers. You can go check it out after now.

So back to today's gist, ๐Ÿ˜„ what you actually need to do first is to understand where your persona is: is it Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, or YouTube or other channels your customers are.

Trust me, it's going to get easier from here.

But be careful not to push yourself too hard in those places where your audience is not. That may actually be a waste of your time.

PS: Anticipate THE ULTIMATE BUYER PERSONA GUIDE from yours truly ๐Ÿ˜Ž. The guide would drop soon. Stay glued to this page and the links in my bio so you won't miss the offer

PSS: My other FREE guide is dropping today ๐Ÿ’ƒ. Anticipate!!!

Let's continue the gist ๐Ÿ‘‡

Some of the strategies you can use to attract your customers are:

โœ“ Social media
โœ“ Email Marketing
โœ“ Promotions or sponsor ad
โœ“ Collaboration
โœ“ Courses
โœ“ Webinars
โœ“ eBook (Free and paid)
โœ“ Partnership
โœ“ Podcasts
โœ“ Content Marketing (Videos, Audios, Graphics, Text, Visuals, Infographics, etc...)
โœ“ Word of mouth marketing
โœ“ Broadcast (TV, Radio, Magazines, Flyers, Posters, etc)

Some strategies may not work for every business, but you will not lose anything by trying them out to see which ones work best for you or combine several of these methods to increase the number of customers you can attract to your business.

Remember: your social networks need to provide content that adds values to your audience. So donโ€™t merely advertise your products and services all the time.

Let me share you some secrets that you can use to get the attention of your prospects ๐Ÿ˜‰
๐Ÿ‘‰.adeboye๐Ÿ‘‡

You will always need to attract new customerโ€™s, hence you have to do some things to get their attention.

Your already existing customers will never be enough for your small business. So you need to continuously attract new customers.

How can you do that? ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ’ซ BE UNIQUE, DO NOT COPY

You can study and analyze your competitors, but do not copy them. You want to be unique. Uniqueness is the best way to attract your potential customers.

๐Ÿ’ซ BE REALISTIC

What you think should not always matter, what should matter to you is what your customers think. You need to be realistic about them. Put them first!

๐Ÿ’ซ DO LESS TALKING AND LISTEN MORE

Listening will tell you what your prospects want to achieve, and if you know that, and you hit them in their wants or needs you will sure have their attention

๐Ÿ’ซ USE DIFFERENT CHANNELS TO ATTRACT THEM

You have to try to test different channels to attract the attention of your potential customers. Don't focus on being on just instagram. Measure which platform they engage on most of the times, (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, etc). Meet them there too.

๐Ÿ’ซ FOCUS ON PROVIDING VALUES TO THEM

You need to find ways of increasing value to your customers, rather than just promoting your products. Use content marketing to keep them informed about the latest sales, trends and bargains.

Stop thinking of customers as something hard to find. Imagine that your customers are already there and go get them with these secrets

Do not undermine the value of loyal customers. Click to follow
๐Ÿ‘‰.adeboye๐Ÿ‘‡

When a customer is loyal to you and your business, they arenโ€™t easily swayed by price or the availability of your products or services. They would rather pay you more and be assured that they will be getting the same quality service and product they know and love.

Loyal customers stick to your business and buy more products and services. Not only that, loyal customers speak about your business which would help you to generate more leads.

But before you can earn their loyalty, you have to consistently meet and exceed their expectations.

The importance of loyal customers ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ’ซ Customer acquisition and retention

๐Ÿ’ซ Repeat business

๐Ÿ’ซ Cross/Up selling opportunities

๐Ÿ’ซ Reduce marketing cost and minimize service cost

๐Ÿ’ซ Improves brand image

๐Ÿ’ซ You stand Tall among your competitors

๐Ÿ’ซ Honest and quality feedback

Now that you know the importance of loyal customers, how would you keep them coming back?
