Oak IGCSE Science Prep

My teaching method has a name. I call it:

"Teach me. Help me. Let me do it by myself."

It sounds simple. It isn't.

Most students who come to me are stuck not because they
lack ability, but because somewhere along the way, the
foundation didn't get fully built. They're trying to do
IGCSE-level work on top of unfinished GCSE-level
basics. The work collapses. The student panics. The
grade follows.

So we go back. We find the gap. We patch it.

Then I teach the new concept the way it should have
been taught.

Then we work through problems together. They see how
I think about them.

Then I let them solve on their own. I only step in
when needed.

By the time they sit the exam, they've done it
themselves dozens of times.

Confidence isn't a feeling. It's evidence. We build
the evidence — one solved problem at a time.

Earlier this year, I was featured as a "Kind Leadership
Star" by Joanna Povall — author of "Kind Leadership:
Leading Schools with Compassion, Courage, and Wisdom"
and a respected voice in global educator development.

Recently, a young woman I once tutored when she was
struggling in physics graduated as a medical doctor.

I'm Mrs. Okafor — IGCSE physics specialist, school
coordinator, and an international examiner for
Cambridge, OCR, and Edexcel for the past five years.

Over 25+ years, I've taught British curriculum science
across Avi-Cenna International School, British
International School Lagos, and Love World
International College — eventually heading physics
and science departments, training other teachers,
and helping schools dramatically improve their results.
