GEOLOGIST SPOTLIGHT | OUR OWN
Today, we celebrate Abubakar Sadiq Musa, a proud alumnus of the Department of Geology, Federal University of Lafia. 🎓🌍
He holds a remarkable place in our department's history as the first First-Class Geology graduate of the Federal University of Lafia, graduating with an outstanding CGPA of 4.79/5.00. 🏆
But academic excellence wasn't the only part of his journey.
As a student, he was actively involved in the academic and leadership life of the department, serving as Vice President of the NMGS FULafia Chapter (2022/2023) and chairing the Academic Committee. He also organized tutorials for his coursemates, driven by a desire to see those around him succeed.
And perhaps the most inspiring part of his story is this:
«He didn't want to be the last.»
His goal was not simply to become the first First-Class graduate, but to help create a path for others to follow. And today, the department has produced more First-Class graduates after him. 🎓👏🏽
✨ A MESSAGE TO OUR STUDENTS
Your success becomes even more meaningful when it inspires someone else to believe that they can succeed too.
Whether you're a 100-level student just beginning your journey or a finalist preparing to graduate, remember:
Someone has gone before you.
Someone is succeeding after you.
And you can be the person who inspires the next generation. 🌍🪨
