Raising Children Who Will Truly Live đź’ˇ
Before I began organizing the 2024 Children’s Day celebration in my community, I shared my vision with a friend. He paused, looked at me, and asked:
“Why are you so interested in children’s growth?”
I replied, “My goal is to see children end up living — not merely being made to live (said this out of experience that I may share with the public one day).”
That sparked another question:
“So, what’s the difference between children who will live and those who may be made to live?”
Here’s how I explained it:
Children who will live are those nurtured under the umbrella of parental love and proper guidance — raised to discover who they are, understand what they are meant for, and explore their full potential. They grow to live with purpose.
Children who may be made to live grow up without a strong parent–child bond, without the guidance to uncover their gifts, and without the freedom to make their own decisions. Their life choices are mostly shaped by family expectations, community pressures, or societal limitations — often leaving their true potential unexplored.
By the end of our conversation, my friend was not only convinced, but also eager to join the mission — a project dedicated to enlightening children and helping them see beyond the limits of their immediate environment.
✨ Every child deserves more than survival. They deserve the chance to live, to dream, and to become.
