KWAYA KUSAR LGEA QUALITY ASSURANCE TEAM VISITED MEGA PRIMARY SCHOOL FOR IMPROVED TEACHING STANDARDS

Mega Primary School, Kwaya Kusar hosted the Kwaya Kusar LGEA Quality Assurance Committee on 4th June 2026 for a monitoring and supervision exercise.

The committee was headed by the Head of Quality Assurance, Mr. Dauda Bwala, and was accompanied by the Head of School Services, Area Supervisors, and other education officers. The team evaluated teaching standards, learning outcomes, student performance, and classroom conditions.

During the inspection, members went through all classrooms. They assessed teachers’ performance individually and reviewed key teaching documents including lesson plans, lesson notes, and teacher movement books. Students’ class participation and academic performance were also evaluated.

At the close of the visit, the committee expressed satisfaction with the level of discipline, lesson delivery, and overall school management. They specially commended the Education Secretary of Kwaya Kusar LGEA, Dr. Salihu Alhaji Ibrahim, for his consistent efforts in transforming education delivery in the LGA. The committee also commended the Headmaster, Malam Ali Modu Kachallah, and the entire teaching staff for their dedication and improved standards.

The committee reaffirmed that such monitoring visits will continue to ensure quality assurance and sustained progress in Kwaya Kusar LGA schools.

EDUCATION SECRETARY OF KWAYA KUSAR LGEA LAUNCHES WEEKLY QUIZ, DEBATE, AND SPELLING COMPETITIONS TO BE HELD EVERY FRIDAY IN KWAYA ZONE SCHOOLS

The Education Secretary of Kwaya Kusar LGEA, Dr. Salihu Alhaji Ibrahim, has visited several schools in Kwaya Zone to oversee quiz competitions, press club activities, debates, and spelling competitions.

The visits covered JDSS Gashina, JDSS Mega/Mega Primary School, JAFI Primary School, and JDSS Central/Central Primary School. At JDSS Mega School, the Head Girl presented a paper on drug abuse and submitted a request for a first aid box, followed by a spelling competition that drew keen interest from students and staff.

The introduction of debate, spelling competitions, and press clubs is aimed at improving students’ public speaking skills, error identification, and confidence in verbal communication. Dr. Salihu stated that these activities will be conducted in every school across the zone every Friday to ensure consistent student engagement and skill development.

Dr. Salihu’s visit underscores his continued effort and commitment to raising education standards and broadening extracurricular opportunities for pupils across Kwaya Kusar LGA.
