In a remote part of Afghanistan, where life is often full of struggles, one father is showing extraordinary dedication to his daughters’ education.
Mia Khan, a hardworking man from Paktika Province, travels 12 kilometers every day just to take his daughters to school. The journey is long and tiring, but he believes that education is the key to a better future for his children.
Every morning, Mia rides his motorcycle over rough roads and dusty paths to reach the school run by the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan.
Once the girls are safely inside their classroom, he does not rush home. Instead, he waits patiently for four hours outside the school, often sitting under the sun or in the cold, until their lessons are finished. Only then does he es**rt them back home.
Mia Khan himself cannot read or write, but he dreams of a different life for his daughters. He believes that education will give them opportunities he never had. Despite his own hardships, he continues this daily routine without complaint, showing tremendous love, patience, and determination.
In a place where many girls struggle to access schools, Mia Khan’s dedication is an inspiring example of a parent’s sacrifices to ensure that their children have a chance to learn and grow.
