KSSSSMB Celebrates Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf’s 3rd Year in Office

Eid-el-Kabir 1447AH: Hon. Gwarzo Felicitates with Gov. Yusuf, Muslim Ummah, Urges Unity and Prayers for Kano State

The Executive Secretary Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board Honorable Rabi'u Sale Gwarzo extends warm felicitations to the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf, His Royal Highness the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, the government and people of Kano State, and the entire Muslim Ummah on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir 1447AH.

The Executive Secretary described Eid-el-Kabir as a season of sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and gratitude to Almighty Allah, stressing the need for Muslims to uphold the virtues of patience, tolerance, unity, and peaceful coexistence as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

Hon. Rabi’u Sale Gwarzo commended the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for its continued commitment toward the transformation of the education sector through strategic policies and interventions aimed at improving teaching and learning across public secondary schools in Kano State under the Kano First Agenda.

He also appreciated the fatherly guidance and prayers of His Royal Highness Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II in promoting peace, harmony, and development in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.

The Executive Secretary urged students, teachers, parents, and the general public to use the festive period to pray for peace, security, and progress in Kano State, while encouraging citizens to extend love and support to the less privileged members of society.

He further called on residents of the state to continue supporting government policies and initiatives geared toward educational development, and social progress.

“May Almighty Allah accept our sacrifices and supplications, bless Kano State with lasting peace and prosperity, and continue to guide our leaders in the service of humanity,” he prayed.

The Executive Secretary Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board, Hon. Rabi’u Sale Gwarzo, is participating in the Education World Forum hosted in the United Kingdom as part of ongoing efforts by the Kano State Government to advance the education sector through collaboration and global engagement.

The Executive Secretary’s participation complements ongoing efforts toward improving educational leadership, teaching, and learning across public secondary schools in the state.

This is to inform all eligible staff of the Board due for the July 2026 Promotional Examination that the Examination Timetable has been released.

Affected staff are kindly advised to carefully study the timetable, take note of their respective examination dates, venues, and other relevant details, and make adequate preparations ahead of the exercise. All candidates are also expected to comply strictly with the guidelines provided for the conduct of the examination.

The Executive Secretary Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board, Hon. Rabi’u Sale Gwarzo, has visited the classroom block and administrative office affected by the fire outbreak at GSS Commercial, Airport Road.

He expressed concern over the damage and assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted to ascertain the cause of the fire. He also called for greater community support and vigilance to prevent future occurrences.

The Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) has received a delegation of officials from Junior Achievement Nigeria, including the Head of Marketing, Field Assistants, and other officials.

Speaking during the visit, the Executive Secretary, Rabi'u Sale Gwarzo, represented by the Director of Schools Management, Alhaji Sani Haladu, assured the delegation of the Board’s continued support for the implementation of educational and entrepreneurship programs for the 2026/2027 academic session in Kano State, in line with the state’s education development policies.

OFFICIAL RESUMPTION NOTICE FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION (THIRD TERM)

The Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) wishes to inform the general public, parents, teachers, students, and all education stakeholders that schools will resume for the Third Term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, May 4, 2026, in all public senior secondary schools across the state, in line with the approved academic calendar.

All schools are expected to strictly adhere to all health guidelines, safety protocols, and operational standards to ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for students, teachers, and staff.

The Executive Secretary Honorable Rabi'u Sale Gwarzo has directed all zonal offices, principals, vice principals, and school administrators to ensure full compliance with all resumption directives, including regular sanitation, proper attendance, security measures, and overall readiness for effective teaching and learning.

Parents and guardians are strongly advised to ensure that their children and wards return to school promptly, fully prepared with necessary learning materials and in complete school uniform. Punctuality, regular attendance, and good conduct are essential for academic success.

Teachers are directed to complete necessary preparations, review lesson plans and scheme of work records, and commence teaching and learning activities from the first day of resumption without delay, in order to maximize instructional time and achieve set academic targets.

The Board appreciates the continued support and cooperation of parents, teachers, traditional and community leaders, and all stakeholders in promoting quality education and discipline in our senior secondary schools.

The Board wishes all students, teachers, parents, and education stakeholders a successful, productive, and rewarding academic term.
